lol, I think you misread that. The article said "tutelage". He'll be teaching Korra. I wonder if it's revealed that Tenzin is in fact Katara's son that perhaps he also possesses water bending powers as well. He'd be like Avatar-Lite.

Pretty sure that being born of parents from two nations =/= being able to bend more than one element, and it's not even like such offspring would be rare. I'm sure that during the 100 year occupation of the Earth Kingdom there were more than a few Fire Nation soldiers who fancied themselves some Earth Kingdom tail, and as far as we know there's no one out there who can bend both earth and fire (except the Avatar, of course).
Let's see here...

Sounds like they were involved heavily early on and then once they saw what was going down, they probably decided to back out and let him carry on his merry way.

If you cant take critisim, get the hell out of the film biz.
I mean, it's weird...Wahlberg is an awesome actor, but for some reason, in The Happening, he was so bad, I almost convinced myself that it was deliberate on the part of Shyamalan...
Maybe he just doesn't know how to get the most out of his talent..
Well, if Wahlberg is hit and miss, he's gotta be 80% hit then..![]()
I don't see the studio making a sequel because it's obvously not well liked by anyone and it isn't an overwhelming success.
But the hate for GI Joe, or Wolverine as another example, aren't nearly as bad as the hate for TLA
I hope they skip a live action sequel and go for CGI animated version. Perhaps following what happens after the cartoon.
They can get all the voice talents back and make it look more like the show... but as a Pixarish like extravaganzat:
