I always find the bad guys interesting, they most of the time seem so much deeper. i like the twisted, darker characters.

I usually end up finding them more interesting, too. I don't necessarily like any "dark/twisted" character -- I just like who I like, and most of the time it ends up being the bad guys. Maybe a part of it is how unrestrained they are compared to the good guys... the good guys have double lives/identity, and these rules that they have to deal with, and all this guilt & unpleasantness all the time. And the bad guys just are who they are 100% of the time & live their lives to the fullest & can do pretty much whatever they please.

Harls, that's pretty much exactly how I feel too. That's why I've always liked the anti-hero better than the hero. When I was a kid, my favorite character was Wolverine because he had no qualms with killing people when he had to. Now my favorite is Deadpool.

They just bore me. And I think that knee-jerk anti-authority attitudes are incredibly stupid, and I can't like a character I think is stupid.

Anti-heroes suck a lot because they are in PG universes. They can't really kill because it would go against the "balance" of the world they're in. Plus when they become popular they really don't kill because they aren't as marketable that way. Wolverine instantly comes to mind. The guy is built to murder and not just beat up people, but he can't kill because he's too popular.

That's not necessarily true though. Read the UDON Taskmaster mini, it was a great antihero story and he had no qualms about killing. And doesn't Wolverine (and the rest of the cast) kill people in X-Force all the time? Punisher is probably the quintessential antihero and he killed tons of people
in Ennis' run on Punisher Max.
