loved that. and how the characters knew it too.....I KNOW THAT SOUND.....game looked so good. with a sidekick who isnt an idiot and just runs into danger but actually helps.

This is more of a Resident Evil 6 than the actual Resident Evil 6.
True. I watched RE6's demo earlier and I just don't care about that game, anymore.

I got a much bigger vibe and feel of survival from TLoU.

That's the only thing that I really wonder about, which is what kind of involvement does she have. Will it simply be as a follower, like Elena and Sully were for Drake.

I hope so. Having to protect the partner in RE5 was horrible.
ND is smarter than that.

They just said that there are multiple ways to go through that area they showed. You can even bypass the whole encounter if you use stealth. Sounds good to me.

This game looked Flippin Amazing my parents came in and asked me what movie i was watching and i was like "This ain't no movie"

Kinda sounds like Deus Ex, which I still need to get on LOL

I liked how Uncharted 3 had certain parts where you can get by without shooting once if you used stealth, but I'm assuming that this will also be pretty linear like the levels in Uncharted.

Speechless, man. Absolutely speechless. I actually might buy a PS3 just because of this game. What a showing.

I just noticed that there is a health bar that doesn't auto regenerate.

Yeah, I like how he took a clean shot and Ellie asked if he was alright.

I think it'd be great if there was an option to play without necessarily having to kill all the other survivors you meet. Like just leaving them injured.

I think it would reflect a more realistic approach.

That was the game of E3 for me so far. It looked absolutely stunning.

They seem to give you several options, but I don't see how it would be "more realistic" to leave them injured. This isn't a year or two after the fall civilization, it takes place 30-40 years after things went wrong, so our morals and set of beliefs are long gone. The world has become kill or be killed. Supplies are worth more than gold and everyone is out to kill you for what you have. Joel is a killer, just like most survivors in their world so I think what he did to survive was very realistic. His instinct is probably doubled due to the fact that he is tasked to protect Ellie as well. I would also say that leaving a person injured in their world with a short supply of medecine and The Infected roaming around, would be worse than killing them. That could be an underlining reason for Joels actions, but we'll have to wait for more info.

Perhaps i just like it when games give you more option than clear out this room of baddies...move on to next room. Especially for a game like this which isn't a traditional 3rd person shooter. Which is why when he took that first guy hostage i actually though he was going to use him as an actual bargaining tool.

Perhaps stealth elements are also included so its not so much about just clearing every room per se. When your surviving you have both your fight and flight reflexes working over time.

Yeah, they said you could stealth your way through that entire area and have zero confrontations if you want. Looks like they will try to give us various ways to handle each situation. I love that.

Don’t gotta worry about that. Even ND said “we hate that” and that we will NOT have to worry about any bodyguard missions. Yes, within the frame of the story, your character must “protect” her, but that is not a gameplay mechanic.

They’ve also said that she will help you in various ways, ie: creating a distraction so you can flank the bad guys, tossing you something to use as a weapon (brick, glass bottle, etc) if you’re unarmed and struggling with a guy, as well as various navigation/platforming help, among other things.

Naughty Dog, it seems, has cracked the code for useful, unobtrusive AI partners, as well as enemy AI. I’m SOOOOOO excited for this game. Thanks to Uncharted, they’ve won me over as my all time favorite studio, and The Last of Us looks to make the Uncharted series, as great as it is, look like nothing more than the proverbial warm up before a Super Bowl win. This is a day one buy for sure – hell I might even go for the midnight release which would be a first for me.

Did Sony announce a price drop? If so, that's just the icing on the cake. I'm buying a PS3 for this game. The footage was better than Microsoft's conference in its entirety.

Sadly no price drop they usually announce that at gamescom or tgs but this game and watch dogs are definitely the winners for e3 so far

Game looks ace!

This E3 is amazing so far!

Wonderful. Makes me even more confident on the game.
Capcom has a lot to learn.

I really love how ND seems to have taken some of the best elements of what made Uncharted so great, and have changed it to create a different kind of world and experience.
