So to all of the Brits on this forum, what do you make of him?

James Corden is taking over for Craig Ferguson as host of “The Late Late Show” on CBS, an individual with knowledge of the situation has told TheWrap.

A representative for Corden did not immediately respond to requests for comment, while CBS couldn't confirm at this time.

Corden stars in Disney's “Into the Woods” and can currently be seen alongside Keira Knightley in “Begin Again.” He also played Paul Potts in the Weinstein Company's “One Chance.” He's represented by CAA.

Ferguson, who's hosted “The Late Late Show” since 2005, announced that he would be departing the series in April, noting that he'd exit at “the end of this year.”

The host was vague about his future plans, saying “and then I'll do something else … Probably, I'm thinking, carpentry.”

Ferguson's decision to exit the series came after “Late Show” host David Letterman's announcement that he would be retiring. While some regarded Ferguson as a possible heir to Letterman's hosting chair, “Colbert Report” host Stephen Colbert eventually landed the gig instead.

A number of names were thrown around as possible replacements for Ferguson, including “Community” star Joel McHale and Neil Patrick Harris, who starred in CBS’ hit sitcom “How I Met Your Mother,” which wrapped this year.

While Corden might not be a household name in the U.S., he boasts a sizable social media presence with more than 4 million Twitter followers, which could bring a modern edge to the show, which airs at 12:35 a.m.

He's okay not the best UK Comedian/presenter

Jimmy Carr is much funnier. But more tame and less dramatic as Corden

Stormageddon's dad as the new Late Late Show host?

Sure, why not.

I thought Corden did a good job in his first episode.

I have to admit, not only is he coming strong out of the gate as a talk show host, I am developing a crush on him now (yes homo) and I think the female audience will follow suit. Expect him to show up on the People magazine survey next year.

What all the new late night hosts have in common is that they are trying to relate to today's younger crowd.

It's not like the 90's where you had a young host like Jon Stewart in jeans talking to generation X from a grunge studio

Thats usually how a young talk show host would be perceived

These new hosts are professionals in business suits talking to the younger crowd

They aren't like letterman and Leno who just talked to the guest for 15 minutes and they're out.

They interact through games and twitter

I think modern hosts are all round entertainers and not just stand up comedians like the previous generation of hosts.

Guys like Corden and Fallon can sing, dance, tell jokes, act and so on.

I miss Craig Ferguson...

and I miss Johnny Carson from years past...
