The Lightning Saga, JLA/JSA Crossover

the art in this was pretty bad....not so much the style, as much as the sequential storytelling which was HORRID!

that odd, as it says shane davis on the cover and laste page..
its not that odd when you consider the fact that im a lazy bastard and didnt bother to read those until the second go... :woot:

what a crappy issue, written so amature-ish. and i agree with motown the sequential story telling was ****.

5/10

This has probably been discussed, but I noticed the lettering on Bruce's computer and translated what Starman said and what was at the end of the comic. :o

Lightning Lad

I really liked the last issue of JLA. Starman is a ****in nutjob and I love it :D

One of us, one of us...

I don't know if this is spoiler or not but just incase...

Was it Geo-Force or Vixen who stop Red Arrow from hitting the tree? The panel has both Geo-Force and Vixen responding in the exact same way and with the sudden change in Brion’s abilities it’s got me to wondering if he actually did stop Roy.

If you look at the following pictures, it looks like Geo-Force wasn’t sure himself.

With Vixen growing abilities it's got me to wonder if she subconsciously tapped into Brion waning gravity abilities, giving the illusion that Geo-Force stopped Roy.

Or I could be reading way too much into this.:)

Apparently anybody can walk in and instantly become a member of the JLA.:woot:

Okay,...

Batman "survives" Karate Kid,.....

This was not really believable based on feats.

Roy Almost killed in the JLA version of the Danger Room,....

I thought the JLA had more on the ball.

Canary and PowerWoman doing the Cheesecake pose on the last page?

Best part of the book.

I'm sooooo shallow,... I require the story to be sequential in the telling,.. the characters to stay within canon and the action to warrant the teams being together in one spot.

That didn't happen here,.. or am I just getting too cynical?

I can take it,.... What am I missing here?
:word:

Whoa,... I agreed with GAH,...

What is up with that?

Newsarama's review of JLA #8 said:
Meltzer has invigorated DC’s heart—and he’s put a little updated cool in their step. Can anyone say they dislike Roy’s arrival and maturation in his role as the newly christened “Red Arrow”?
I lol'ed. :D

I liked Mighty Avengers. It's like a summer action movie--dumb but fun.

You're f***ing ******ed. Mighty Avengers sucked. They spent the last issue standing around watching Ultron be naked. And before anyone tries to be a smart ass and says that's what they'd do, too, shut the f*** up. It's Tony dressed like a woman, you freak.

Yeah, that was a weak part of the issue, along with the odd characterizations of the Black Widow and the Sentry and Ms. Marvel's presence. But Ares was fun, Iron Man was absent, and the Lost-esque recruitment flashbacks were good for the most part (except the aforementioned Black Widow's). The annoyingly useless thought bubbles were toned down a little in this issue, too.
