The Dark Knight Rises The Literary Aspects of TDKR

As cool as it would be, I'd rather they didn't, because they would have to get another kid to play Bruce, as the one in BB will now be 7 years older. They already recast once in this franchise--I don't care to see it again.

He could be used it a scene without young Bruce.

You're right; I thought of that, too, in which case I would most welcome it. However, I find it hard to think of a flashback that doesn't have them interacting in some way, especially if it is in the context of a father/son bond (although it doesn't necessarily have to be).

Thomas' efforts to save Gotham

Ra's said he tried to destroy Gotham once and Bruce's Parents got in the way.

This doesn't necessarily call for Bruce to be there.

In fact a young Ra's Al Ghul could fit into a scene like that possibly.

The Father/Son thing doesn't have to be literally Thomas in front of Bruce.

Thomas' ideals, his life, who he was can show a father/son relationship with Bruce as he learns to come into his father's legacy.

The same could be said for Ra's
