The Dark Knight BOF: BAT 2 Update

it has to mean flashbacks  He was already the Joker by the time BB ended.

i was just going to post this. exactly. it let's the air out to think that he was already joker in begins and now they're going to grow him in BB2.

I support the use of a drawn out character for the joker. IF we're going to get a backstory make it as good ass backstory

^there once was a man from nantucket..... who saw a bat and wanted to **** it..... he went in for the poker, but came out the joker..... and now he runs around yelling "suck it"

I'm not so hot on the idea of Flashbacks. I mean, look a "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory". The movie was supposed to be about Charlie, but once Wily Wonka had a flashback, bam the movie became about him.

Anyway, who said anything about flashbacks? I think the movie will open up with Batman chasing some unknown hood down a gantry. Hood takes a dip in chemicals and the "Joker Killer" is assumed dead. Then we a lot of Harvey Dent, Black Mask and The Penguin until the middle of the movie, when The Joker comes back and begins his reign of terror.

please let it be so!

I doubt they are going to have a guy running around with a skull for a face... well maybe the guy from 1989 Batman, the guy joker burned to death with his hand button

is anyone worried that this movie is going to focus A LOT on pre-Joker? maybe Caine wasn't too far off when he said he'd be working on The Joker next year. I really want Bruce/Batman as our focus, I don't want a whole half hour/full hour preJoker origin leadup.

i'm nervous about that too- but i think Nolan knows to stay away from Burton's Bat 1, and that was more of a joker movie.

I still don't understand how we're going to do an origin of joker if they're already collecting joker cards at crime scenes. maybe he'll be close to the transition, but i hope they keep the joker flashbacks at a minimum. this is batman's series. that's another fault of the first four films. i'm sure nolan knows that, and he'd be foolish to build a great origin for batman only to shove him in the background in favor of the rogues gallery

Roman Sionis is one of the villains rumored to be in the next Batman movie.

The Penguin is also rumored. After all, Jett source said that The Joker won't be the only villian in the film.

I want clayface too :( But Nolan'll never go for that

they could do it realisticaly, I'd be for it...... don't know how they could it tho

I think I might be the only one who doesnt see the appeal of Clayface...He was great in the cartoon, but I don't see how it could work in the movies.

I think only in the way Rynan posted above....A big guy who runs around with wet clay all over his body and smothers victims to death with his big belly.

:)

Black Mask didn't start out with a skull for a face. He started out actually wearing a black mask. Eventually, however the mask was burned into his face and he got that new appearance of a black skull.

Hopefully if they use Black Mask they'll stick with a wooden mask. Having a facially scarred villain in the second one will lessen the effect of seeing Two-Face for the first time.

Actually if they where going to do a plausable clayface, they would probably go with Basil Karlo, the first clayface. He had no morphing abilities. He was just a killer with clay packed onto his face.

But I still think Black Mask would be better.

If "backstory" turns out to be Gordon/Batman/Dent searching crime scenes left by "the Joker" and piecing together clues before they figure out enough about him and we get to see him at the halfway point, then color me happy.
