I'm sure this topic has been brought up SOMEWHERE in SOME post... I've tried looking for about 10 min though, and I got bored.

To anyone who watches the show, there's no spoilers, but to those waiting for the DVD, turn away. On the CW site, there's a speculation as to whether Lois of the future is really the true love/hard hitting reporter that we all know or if this is Chloe's personality took over Lois' body with the life giving tear. (expcept on that site they're confused into thinking that Chloe takes up Lois Lane as a pen name... don't understand that  ) As for me, I think that Chloe's strongest traits reside in Lois. Kinda like a subconsious personality. Those traits being the unsatiable desire to write/work at the daily planet and her love for Clark. I think there's plenty in the series to support and disprove this, I just want to know what others think.

Please dont take this is an offence, but the idea you have suggesteds, *any* kind of Lois/Chloe "mashing/meshing" is detestable to me. I think both characters are fine as their own, on their own merits, although I admit that I much prefer Lois.

One of the reasons I came to the Hype, was because I was so pleased there were no Lois/Chloe "meshing" threads here, and that here everyone could appreciate both characters in their own right.

JMO.

The Chlois theory has been around forever, or at least since Lois came on this show. See TWOP if you want to find more supporters of that kind of thinking. Personally, I think it's just desperation on the part of Chloe fans to make her the love of Clark's life - even if they have to kill Lois to do it. Weirdness.

I'm with Riva - it's insulting to both characters. Lois Lane on this show is growing and evolving into the iconic woman that Clark will love for all her own traits, and not just the ones that she shares with Chloe.

See, this is why I wanted to hear both sides of peoples opinions. I think either way COULD work, but at the moment lois and clark are able to be civil and have a brother/sister vibe thing... the way things are, I wouldn't be able to see them falling in love at all. With chloe as some kinda subconcious personality trait, it sorta makes sense. Granted, there's still room for evolution before series' finale, but there hasn't really been a true spark of romance between them at all that I can remember.

Did you watch Crimson? I think that episode's purpose was to tell us that there are underlying feelings, on both sides, that neither are willing to admit at this point in time.

Oh, I can definitely sense the underlying attraction between Clark and Lois. And that's coming from a die-hard Clana fan.

Woah.....*Shudders*

I thought I came to the wrong site for a moment.:wow: :csad: :cwink:

Wait, are people still going on about Chloe being Lois Lane?

Hey, B8 welcome back where've you been?

I liked it as well, RedClark, Lois and Clark, Lana finding out, Lex v.s. Clark. What more can we ask for?

IMO Lois Lane has proved that she has the making of a great Investigative Reporter (From since her arrival in "Cursade" The Season 4 Premiere ) till now . This Season is the season well see her become The Iconic Legend she is well know in the Superman mythology .

While Lois & Chloe do share (some things in common) Their personalities are totally different as are their methods in Journalism . (Even former Smallville
producer and writer Steven DeKnight said this.)

SteveDeKnight said:
One early concern of the writers was that, while they were finally cleared by DC Comics to actually use Lois Lane , they had to avoid strains of characterization overlap with her cousin, Chloe Sullivan, who was aspiring to professional journalism from the start of the show. The writers kept this concern in mind according to DeKnight, but overall did not regard it as too much of a challenge. Lois, after all, had not latched on to her future career upon arrival.

"Originally there was some concern about duplication of character. I know some online fans complained that Lois is going to steal Chloe's thunder. And there was some conspiracy theory that Lois is going to die and Chloe take her identity."

DeKnight dismissed such "conspiracies", illuming some of the reasoning behind their ease with featuring two aspiring female reporters.

"It's like 'Wait a minute, now Clark's also going to become a journalist and that doesn't step on Chloe," he said, pointing out that besides Clark—who has yet to actively aspire toward the profession—there are countless journalists, and different types at that.

"I understand the concerns that her cousin is already a journalist." But just as Clark's end point is a cape and alter ego as a means to his heroic end, however, "Lois has to slowly figure it all out, too," her own means to effecting change in her world.

DeKnight continues, "And Lois approaches it from a completely different perspective. She's very much the classic, shoot from the hip, get-into-trouble Lois." He said that the writers gradually wrote a deliberate contrast between style and ethics and overall approach between the two budding journalists and cousins.

"We wanted to distinguish between how the two of them go about it. What we were doing was important because we didn't want both of them doing the same thing." As such, Lois is written as having her characteristic penchant for undercover investigative work and Chloe is written as a computer-oriented researcher; Lois initially vocalized cynicism about reporters and Chloe has unbridled enthusiasm about it from the outset.

And when finally in the bullpen herself, Lois shown killing a story that would be spun tastelessly by her tabloid's editor, in contrast to many similar stories Chloe had written and run with nary a pause for concern. DeKnight cites this scene, in the episode Reunion, as one of the subtly defining moments for Lois, laying the groundwork for eventual realizations about her craft and how she wants to pursue it. "There were ethics starting poking up right there...in that scene. We're definitely trying to distinguish between the two styles."

"And we deliberately started Lois out at a tabloid, getting her feet wet there, and then towards the end of the season she really starts to try to get into more serious journalism. But first we definitely want to distinguish between them and their styles."

Besides talking about the journalistic considerations going into writing Lois—even the introduction of her interest was a call back to guest star and future boss Perry White’s strange experience with Clark’s malfunctioning abilities—DeKnight segued into the matters of the heart between the comics’ most famous romantic duo.

The foundation for The epic Relationship was planted in "Cursade" When Lois & Clark meet in The Cornfield (According to Al in smallville magazine is the excat same place Jonathan & Martha found Baby Kal-EL in the Meteor Shower) and has been building up ever since then . The romantic Sparks appeared in "Crimson" Tagline : The Legendary Love Affair Begins Tonight .

:super:

Chloe needs to die. The chlarkers will say anything to make her Lois so they could be together. It makes me sick.

someone make it stop! :(

This is what it's like to reason with these people.:whatever:

Just to clarify, I'm not saying that Chloe's personality takes over Lois, but that her reporting interest and feelings for clark are what really take hold. I don't think I saw Crimson or Crusade (were those both in season 6?) But in Fade, where lois was in the shower, sees a shadow from under the door, opens it naked about to attack with a hair dryer clark sees her naked, and when she shuts the door he still has this look on his face like "oh dear god" not "I saw lois naked!" with his big smile like when his xray vision kicked in and saw lana in the locker room.

Alas, it'll never happen in the same episode.

This is the exact thread that I hated on Ksite -shakes head- Lois is Lois. Except it, move on.

Why do you think I hang out here and I review over there?

My post count on KryptonSite is a fraction of what it is here, I don't think Craig would like to hear me say that...

Personally, it's all the silly polls drive me the most nuts.

Oh, yeah, they have a lot of polls over there.
