I feel like that would leave fewer candidates for the stonings, and I'm not sure I want to give them up.

Sorry, I definitely didn't mean to insinuate that we should lose even one annual Hype stoning. They are way too valuable to sacrifice and I'm aware that the site owners need the revenue from the PPV rights.

Anyone would have done/offered the same.

The one situation where I think widespread banning rights could be useful is for when both participants in a horrendous debate pull the trigger at the same time and it ends in a Double K.O.. The conversation is preserved to show the circumstances of the demise of both parties, and like "Teach a Man How to Fish" - the Hype would have the equivalent world-improving mantra - 'Delete the Poster, not the Post'.

You know what else is annoying? The pop up near the bottom left corner of your window telling you a new alert is available. Tiny black font on navy blue background.

Well I noticed they just changed the colors of the tagging prompts, which had the same problem, so hopeful those alert prompts will be next.

When you start to tag someone (using an "@" symbol), it throws down suggestions of posters you can select to tag. Until this evening, those were just as illegible as the alert prompts due to the colors. But it's fixed now, so I have hope for the alert prompts.
