As someone who like the Affleck DAREDEVIL movie, I had high hopes for the ELEKTRA movie.....but it was such a waste of talent.

I gotta say... The live action Peppermint Patty film is WAY different than I imagined it would be.
LOL, this was literally my first post in the Peppermint thread:

When I saw the title to this thread, I honest to god assumed this was gonna be some sort of Charlie Brown "re-imagining" about Peppermint Patty. :funny:

i dont hate the affleck daredevil movie either
for some reason i really appreciated the fact that it seemed like they did their research a little. having Matt fold his bills different ways to tell them a part has always stuck out to me for some reason, even to this day

I ran into @ComicChick a while back. I'd heard that she was pretty broken up about the fact that her old boyfriend went and married her (former) best friend. She was understandably beside herself, and took to following the newly betrothed through their honeymoon dalliances and making an absolute nuisance of herself.

We arranged to meet at one of Cairo's pita places. She ordered a veggie wrap and I got the meatball sub. After some idle chit-chat, I got down to brass tacks. I told her to bury the dead, not as the egyptians do,preserving the body, no, I said, properly! finally! I implored her to turn her back on the past. After all, time heals everything.

"I know how you feel," I said. "We all feel like that at times. However, I must warn you, Madame, do not allow evil into your heart. It will make a 'ome there."

"If love can't live there," she responded in that Christina Aguilera way of hers, "evil will do just as well."

Then we danced. She held me in her arms, close to her heart. I could hear her heart beating. I detected a heart murmur.

"By now, I'm sure you've detected my heart murmur," said @ComicChick , unhappily.

"Yes," I said, also unhappily, "Does...does this mean you will die?"

"Yes," said CC, again unhappily, "I will die."

"I will not let you die," I said, courageously. ''I will built you a house.'' One day when your old and your mind starts to wonder into amnesia in the head, I will make you remember!'', I said to her while eyeing a blonde japanese gal from across the room.

An expression of total joy descended over her face.

I prefer the ending to Best Little ****ehouse In Texas myself @Black Narcissus.

You know Burt got to take a swim in lake Dolly.

This lounge has turned to ****

Tried selling some things on Craigslist that I didn't feel like messing with shipping for on eBay. As shipping would have been a ***** for them.

Anyway, first three responses were identical. Same broken English. Same crappy sentence structure. All saying they'll pay with a certified check, and send extra, but to give the extra they send to their "shipper". Also, all three happened to be on vacation.

So yeah, my scam radar went off. It appears this is a typical scam on Craigslist. Where the check is bad, and the bank holds you accountable. Meanwhile you sent their "shipper" your cash.

Either way I declined, obviously. Just seeing how bad the scamming is on there first hand.

Any excuse to post this, I will...

The theme itself is now playing.

That was riveting.
