Apparently it happens enough Craigslist itself put out a warning about that specific scam. Either way, the entire point was I wanted to avoid messing with shipping. So cash only, and local pickup was the only way I was going with it anyway.

have you considered OfferUp or Letgo? much more secure

I have used Offerup and had decent success. I like that you can rate your buyer/sellers too in case things go bad. I know people who have used LetGo but I haven't tried it myself. I've also used Facebook sale groups and I always meet up somewhere public, during the day.

Ive mostly sold movies/ video games and collectibles. I've sold on br.com too and sometimes I wish we had a trading/selling area here.

if i can get it approved. i wouldn't mind it. i'm sure i could get Spider-Fan to help me run it if he were voluntold by me lol
there would have to be a big set up for rules and regulations written up first and i have some basis for some that i heavily borrowed from another site

if the want is there, once the site mergeover is done, i could try pushing for it again

side note: i've made almost $40 bucks selling movies and digital copies between OfferUp and br.com the past 2-3 days yay. Going to add that to CC's House Buying Fund lol

Sounds great. I would definitely support this idea and could be an active participant. I would trust long term Hype guys a lot more than unknowns and we are more likely to have common interests, even outside of just comic related stuff.
