...Seriously, **** Spider-Man movies.
At my showing of Homecoming, a lady brought two small children, who insisted on commenting loudly on every single thing that appeared on screen. The lady didn't notice though, because she was constantly on her phone. She also got up and left repeatedly, leaving the spawn to literally roam freely.
I am fairly confident that if I took a five step stride, I could have thrown one of those kids from one end of the theatre to the other. It's an inclined plane, I'll cover it.
I saw the remarks Nolan made about Netflix, and how he feels it is an affront to a theatre experience. But then I saw this article: http://www.indiewire.com/2017/07/netflix-christopher-nolan-theatrical-distribution-1201857805/, which perfectly sums up my opinion on the matter.
I used to love going to the movies, but as I've grown older, I've also grown to hate the experience. I hate crowds. I hate the people who can't stop talking, or can't stop checking their phones, or can't find babysitters for their mewling infants. I hate assigned seating, because no matter what, some chuckle**** will choose the seat right beside my group, even though there were dozens of options with no neighbours. I hate the poor quality of the regular screens. I hate that I have to pay $5 more just to get a clear screen with IMAX or UltraAVX. I hate theatre food. I hate theatre food prices. Hate hate hate hate HATE HATE HATE.
Netflix didn't make me feel that way... if theatres fixed their ****, maybe this stuff wouldn't happen as much.

What is the "right" time to see a movie? Because recently I've gone at 7pm on a Friday, noon on a Saturday, and 3pm on a Wednesday... and stuff like this always invariably happens, regardless of the time.

Where im currently living, most theatres have 2 dollar tuesdays. If more theatres did that that'd be the perfect time to go, plus all the loud adolsecent children are probably all gonna be in school.

Someone brought an infant to my showing of Apes but the kid was pretty much quiet. Some folks just can't afford a babysitter.![]()
t:I don't really get that. Isn't it a bit like saying I can't afford a lead for my dangerous dog so I just let him go around killing babies in the park when we go for a walk?t:

Lol, true. I know that I never brought my daughter to the movies until she was five or so and then only kid movies. Part of being a parent is you sometimes have to miss out on things.![]()
At times like that I sometimes feel Herod was a very misunderstood historical figure. You just take the d away and get the real deal.
Yeah, my sister used to go to all of these films but has stopped now that she's had a daughter. Will start again when she's old enough.

Rewatching Episode 1 right now. Euron really was pretty good. So much better than before. He's converted me with that little scene.

I rewatched it earlier today myself. I still like poor Sam's punishing daily grind.![]()
