Anyone here seen The Beatles: Eight Days A Week? Watched it the other night with mum and dad and it was awesome!

I wonder what Alex_Spider's reaction to this would be.

I'm seeing more and more #Reek2016's in signatures....

Is it bad that I looked at that invite for a minute or two and didn't see it?

Of interest to you also possibly, check out CHARLIE IS MY DARLING, about the really early days of The Rolling Stones.

You realize... how strange that looks with the quote in your sig...

heh saw a short fan review of the 15 minute Doctor Strange footage at Imax today, it said it's got Inception beat and if 3d makes you alittle sick, NOT to see this in 3D lol

My Imax 3D Suicide Squad had a special preview of Doc Strange. The mountain scapes really popped in 3D. Didn't care for the kaleidoscope effects, though.

That movie is one of my guilty pleasures.

edit

That's why you don't give kids coffee milk before their bedtime.

I kinda felt that ITPOD should have been funnier. It's got some moments but I can't remember anytime I've felt the need to re-watch it like, at all, and I am a huge fan of Tenacious D.

Heh just Got done watching another review, they were saying don't take "anything" before hand, it's not needed hahahah

Yeah Vic, the 3D is what I'm shooting for tho when I do go see it

I listened to them a bit in high school, yeah what humor there is, is very niche. I really liked the whole "chasing a guitar pick made from the devil's tooth" angle though.

Kryptin, how did you and your crew navigate the Ice and Fire material for your TBC podcast? Its incredibly vast, so I'm curious as to how you decided to dive into your project.

Well, not to bore anyone but...

You are right. The lore and material is VAST. As you know, I'm not new to these sort of rodeos fandom wise. I LOVE highly textured fiction that balances out the fantasy elements with a "grounded" approach. Density of detail usually doesn't put me off... But once I got into GOT and started to investigate it's lore... I ran the other way. It was at first glance TOO daunting. I have limited storage capacity for this sort of thing these days. I thought I'd just watch the show and that's it.

But my curiosity got the better of me and I've been crash coursing it as it were. Just got the WORLD book and am immensely enjoying it and will get around to the books sooner than later.

As for the podcast... My co-host Ed has a friend from college, Anna, who lives in France and she is a huge book fan. We conference called her into the show and as one of the hosts what I wanted to do was try and go through the main characters and houses, some of the big themes and ideas of the show and books and had Anna do a compare and contrast between the show and the books.

Again... You, dud, Reek and Roose were of incredible help in making me NOT sound like a total idiot. Your insights as fans honed my own investigations and opinions. How that's all going to sound in final form? That I can't tell you. We still haven't put the show together in totality. I am trying to improve the focus of the show while balancing the casual and humorous elements and I can't say I always succeed to my own satisfaction. That said... It was a long episode and I tried to give book stuff and show stuff equal time.

Ed: Miguel is there anything else you'd like to add?

Miguel: Yes... Yes... REEK 2016 *drops mic and leaves*
