Marvel Films The Marvel Studios News and Discussion Thread

The podcast they're referring to is the official Marvel podcast. It seems today's episode is spotlighting those 3 shows.

More Disneyland related than anything else but here's a video from D23 about the upcoming Avengers ride that was first announced a few years back.

Better look at Red Hulk from D23 (tagging just in case)

This honestly excites me more than any show announcement could.
Same. I feel like there's a lot more freedom and story ideas they could do with this. Especially if they can give a spotlight to characters that may not be able to get a movie or show. I personally always thought an anthology style show would be cool to do but I'll certainly take more special presentations.

Honestly, with the money they spend on half a season of a show, they can easily make a great one-off special. It probably won't be as profitable, but as a creative exercise it's fantastic. They could even include them as short-films before a main theatrical release, like Pixar did a few years back, remember? They could even try new directors, new concepts, new characters.

I love anthologies because if one episode or season fails the next one might be better.

Marvel Studios should just go back in focusing on making movies.

Disney+ be damn, surely Disney could find several IPs (or create new ones) that would give regular original programming for that streaming service...

They can still make shows and be fine. Just make them shows. Not badly paced and padded movies broken into chunks

I hope Armor Wars get the chop. I just don't see the point of a War Machine movie this late in the MCU and War Machine in the movies isn't even interesting.

Blade, like I said many times, they could save him several years from now, especially when most of the Infinity Saga characters are already in their way out or already done. But right now, its been delayed too many times. Time to take a break and shelve it for now.

Avengers, Fantastic 4, X-Men - these are bigger things that need more attention.

Not surprising on either count assuming that's accurate. If it were up to me, I'd just shelve Blade and include him in the Midnight Sons project. Granted, that would likely mean Ali walks.

-Shang-Chi 2
-Doctor Strange 3
-Black Panther 3
-Fantastic 4: The Second Steps (assuming The First Steps does well)
-Spider-Man 4
-X-Men

They have plenty of projects that they should prioritize over Armor Wars and Blade. I think if the report is true, this would explain why the February 2026 film wasn't revealed in SDCC '24. It seems a lot of projects are up in the air right now.

Celebrating 85 years.

What I liked about this video is how Feige emphasized "Spider-Man, Avengers, Fantastic 4 and X-Men in one sentence". If they had the film rights for the other three in the beginning, we would have seen them very early in the MCU.

Also this is MCU in chronological order. Deadpool & Wolverine the movie is excluded.

Rhodey deserves his time in the sun. They've basically been stringing Cheadle and fans along for years. Doesn't take much to make this film work.
