Marvel Films The Marvel Studios News and Discussion Thread

Both Eyes of Wakanda and Marvel Zombies are 4 episodes so they’ll most likely be released all at once.

Given What If season 3 isn't listed, I have a feeling they are gonna try to annouce it for this December like they did last year.

I dont have any interest in Spider-Man or the Marvel Zombies show. I will watch the other ones, though Daredevil is the only I would say I am hyped for.

Spider-Man is one of my 3 favorite characters. He was number 1 for ages. I should be hyped for that series, but it looks and sounds terrible to me. Completely unneccessary creative desicions were made.

My bet is the show gets a mixed reception from audiences and the noise for a Spider'Man '98 revival only intensifies.

There's virtually nothing that excites me about the MCU right now or near future.

I'm keeping my hopes up for more and more animation (as long as they are disconnected from the MCU).

I'm excited for Captain America, Thunderbolts and Daredevil.

Absolutely lost interest in Doomsday and Secret Wars due to them pushing down our throat RDJr and abandoning Kang. The only reason I'm somewhat interested is seeing some of the pre-MCU characters interact.

Spider Man 4 was the only character I was mildly interested in but absolutely hated what Marvel did with him and the idea of Zendaya being there and the movie being sandwiched between Doomsday/Secret Wars just irks me.

Wonder Man is a character I know nothing about and can't really comment and will have to wait until I see footage. Iron Heart i was interested in but it just feels like forever since she was introduced i kind of forgot about her and with the series being done but not released it makes me question the quality.

Marvel Zombies could be fun!

I was excited for Eyes of Wakanda until I found out it was animated.

Looking good. My subscription is due in January…. Looks like I’m going to reup.

Why is that an issue?
I just don't like the style of animation and artistic direction that a lot of the modern shows employ and was looking forward to seeing Danai Live action as Okoye.

I wasn't too crazy about What If art style and still haven't watched XM97 which I heard nothing but praise and I'll eventually watch, but they both have a similar aesthetic. SM follows that style and I imagine Eyes of Wakanda will do as well. Perhaps my opinion will change once they release footage of the show.

6 shows.... sheesh. I'm skipping the cartoons. Will watch the rest + the 3 movies, but these 3 live action/3 movies for 2025, is a not exciting set of mcu content. If I have to cherry pick and snap the other shows out of existence like Thanos, I would only keep Daredevil and Fantastic 4, simply because the other four aren't just interesting.

And Wonder Man should have appeared in a movie (preferably Avengers) before getting a solo show. Marketing wise, who's really going to care about Wonder Man? The thing about the Mcu in its early years, they've used the bigger movies to introduce characters that weren't popular yet or characters that may need some extra hype. As far as I know, Wonder Man isn't appearing in any mcu movies next year. So its going to be like Ms. Marvel, She Hulk and Moon Knight (introduced in their solo project) but with a less marketable character.

I don't know, besides Daredevil nothing really stands out for me. It's all like B-level material.
I can get that as well. For me though they look exciting. Well hopefully they surprise you if you choose to watch any of them besides Daredevil (which looks awesome).

From the trailer they released for D+, I am all in for Daredevil and Wonder Man. Like what I see there. I hate the What If style animation and What If for me is a meh show. So my interest in What If S3 is low. I also don't really care about the Marvel Zombies thing. Eyes of Wakanda I am more interested in than the other 2, but I wish it had better animation. So slightly interested. Ironheart....filmed 2 years ago. Massive reshoots. I hope it's good, but walking in skeptical. Spider-Man show, don't care lol

The animated Spidey show has already a huge disadvantage from the get-go, it will always be compared with the Spider-Verse movies.

I think it will be more compared to X-Men '97 for obvious reasons

I dont think it's necessarily a bad thing. Spider-Verse and 97 set the bar high, so if Marvel Animation's upcoming project have nothing to offer *cough* What If *cough* people will naturally compare and complain.
