I would keep Megs exactly the same as he was in the movie except add the big cannon to his arm, its just so much a part of who Megatron was, he can still be a jet and have his fusion cannon

Wasn't one of his arms broken off when they dropped him in the ocean? interesting...

I didn't really understand that. When he was fighting Prime, got shot by missiles and had the cube shoved in his chest, I'm fairly certain he still had all his limbs attached. But when they dump him in the ocean, he's suddenly missing an arm and a leg.

It makes sense. They took his arm or leg to study. If they couldn't keep the whole robot to study for technology, then take a part of him. Kind of like what the soldiers did with Scorponok's tail.

I love that line, The way Weaving said it and then transformed into The Cybrotrian Jet and fly out was just wickedly cool .

The movie builds up to the climax of Megatrons awakening and the first words you want him to say is..."I still function?"

Scary.

I'm aware of the quotes origin. It's still not as impressive as 'I am Megatron.' He's not just saying this because it's like a cool thing to say, but because he wants to make it clear to the meat who they were messing with.

It is I think that the whole "I am Megatron!!!" line was awesome! This is the first time that anyone on the planet has seen this dude "awake" - what an awesome introduction before trashing the the N.B.E.-1 chamber and flying outta there. It was like his way of saying that "I am here and I mean business!"

I think if he had said "N.B.E 1? NNNNOOOOO....I AM MEGATRON!" It would have came off a little better.

Agreed. In fact, I was mentioning the same thing to my best friend the other day.

The line delivery was awful. I would love for someone to dub over Welker's "I still function" quote over that movie clip. Hope that happens once the dvd is out.

IMO, Weaving's voice lacked the character that Welker's had. It would probably have been cheaper if they got Welker to voice it too.

Glad they redesigned his head/face to make it look more G1/humanoid. The body design still sucks but as many have mentioned before, it's his protoform so they can always come up with a better design(and his *****in arm cannon) in the future.

I have to admit, I wasn't really looking forward to this movie. I still feel like some designs(Starscream and BB's face) could still be better but all in all, I was pleasantly surprised by how well the new designs worked once seeing them in motion. Especially loved how Ratchet, Ironhide and Jazz retained some of the humanoid facial features of the cartoons...that was my biggest worry for the designs of the movie. They could've made the faces better lookin though...

Once you go Bay, you'll never go block.

This just hit me. Does anyone think the transformer in the very first teaser was a G1 megatron. I know that doesn't make sense, but it does remind me of him.
