Haha! I have it on good authority that Stan Lee actually died in 1987... The guy that we see in all of these movie cameos is A SKRULL!!!!!!!!!

A race of aliens that does nothing but copy other people and work for their masters...taking the form of a guy who made his name by copying other people and taking credit for the work of others, and being a corporate goof...it makes such a terrible, twisted sense, that I buy it.

My vote goes to Thomas and Martha Wayne. They did much for Gotham City and were rally good people. But speaking of Comic Book Death´s, it should be noticed that the most important ones are the ones from characters who stood dead, like Uncle Ben.

What, is there something socially redeemable about the guy? Is he anything but a creative drain on America and on comics right now? Even if you like his early Marvel stuff, that was 40 years ago, and he's done nothing but be a goof and a gimmick since then. He adds fuel to the fire of people who say superhero comics are stupid and silly and goofy inherently.

It will be nice to never have to worry about the guy embarrassing superhero comics ever again.

True. It's a great story and it had major, lasting repercussions for the character... It's really 70's-tastic,though... Then again i like that stuff.

• Doctor Doom becomes a threat to the entire Earth (and many others)
• Galactus, one of the most powerful beings, lives only by destroying entire planets, trillions of trillions of life
• Loki becomes the god of evil (a pretty big step if you ask me)
• Darkseid's entire planet is hell incarnate, and is a threat to all life in any universe.

Actually, The death of Dooms parents (especially his mother) is incredibly important and influential to the forming of who Doom is and who is Doom? Only the Greatest villain in the Marvel Universe... And of one the all time biggest bad asses in comic books...
If his parents had lived there would be no Doom, thus drastically altering the course of the 616 Marvel universe...

Magneto's not much of a villain, he's more of an anti-hero. Doom is comic's greatest supervillain.

Yeah Uncle Ben for the reasons that have already been pointed out. Out of all the deaths his was the one where the protagonist had the perfect chance to prevent out of pure callousness which makes it the more tragic.

Not to be obnoxious or anything, but that's more a product of Loki's inferiority complex growing up as an outcast alongside Thor, the most favored child in all of Asgard. Plus, Loki killed his dad himself, so he was kind of a jerk to begin with.
