The Naked Fun in The Superhero Cinematic Civil War Thread - Part 62

Just you wait, there's more awesome stuff on the way. And unfortunately some of the best stuff wont come until season 3 :weeping:
Though I do want Science Saru to take as much time as they need to make this the best show that it can be, I hope it doesn’t take too long for the next couple seasons to come out.

Seriously, this show gives me life.
Imagine hating a show and it's just the show doing this:

I have some issues with Ms. Marvel. Kamala Khan and everything related to her family, culture, friends and everyday life were not one of them.

When Marvel comes up with some good Pakistani characters, I'll give them a positive rating.
Just going by your avatar, would you say that Dark Phoenix was better than Ms. Marvel?

I would say that all sorts of things were better than Ms. Marvel. It was noisy, too cute, had a poor plot structure...

But yeah, I liked Dark Phoenix all right.

Not my concern. I got into X-Men through the films.

And yet unlike Ms. Marvel, Dark Phoenix was a complete bastardization of the source material.
You don't remember when Jean killed her BFF Jennifer Lawrence that friendzoned Nicholas Hoult? :o

I don't ever grade movies/shows based on source accuracy (or, rather, accuracy to some version), even when I care about that. Each version is what it is, as far as my ratings go.

Even taking comic accuracy out of the equation, Dark Phoenix is arguably one of, if not the worst X-Men movie. I don't know, I just find it ironic that someone with a Dark Phoenix avatar is tearing down Ms. Marvel, something that was much better received by both critics and audiences.

Then there's the one that's been getting attention online: Henchmen, a potential DC Studios movie that he's called the favorite script he's ever written, and which he penned before his 2022 breakout, Barbarian.

According to sources, Henchmen would center on a low-level henchman in the Gotham crime world who gains notoriety after managing to incapacitate Batman through a stroke of luck.

The Dark Knight could appear briefly in the movie, while Harley Quinn and Joker are in the project as well. Cregger has not yet pitched it to DC Studios, though the company is said to be aware of his interest.

I’ve never seen Barbarian, but put it to you like this: you can put two and two together about the evil thing, but it’s entertaining as hell getting there LOL.
Fair enough. The thing I really liked about Barbarian is that I don't think I could have possibly predicted how that movie was going to go lol.

Guys for real.

The movie of the summer isn’t Supes or the FF. It’s Weapons.

Go see it. :lmao:

The reviews got my attention but this has pushed me over the fence. Funny enough, the 10:45 AM screening I've got my eye on tomorrow is fairly full for a late morning matinee. Is this the kind of movie that's enhanced with a crowd?
