I'm not sure if I'm going to buy the Cap and Loki Siege oneshots, and wasn't really planning on it anyhow, but I noticed the surprising $3 price tag so I figure they're worth a flip through. The Loki one is more possible as long as it's more Dark Reign focus than Thor focus... if you get what I mean... which you probably don't.

Other than that, the rest look good. I'll buy anything Young Avengers so I knew I was going to buy their oneshot. New Mutants's Second Coming has me excited. I love all things Green Lantern and loved Blackest Night, so Brightest Day is definately worth my attention. Batman's also been good, so I figure I'll stay on for the next arc at least. I'm definatly continuing Morrison's run, but Daniel's run is arc by arc for me. He did good with the Black Mask story, so he's got me for now.

BLACK WIDOW #1 HA $3.99 - maybe; I've heard good things about the writer, and like the character, but not huge on Acuna.
DAREDEVIL #506 $2.99 - really enjoyed this run so far; Diggle's run has run into some delays due to his schedule, but it's been really good.
EXCALIBUR VISIONARIES WARREN ELLIS TP VOL 01 $19.99 - I'm surprised it took them this long to start trading this, given Ellis' popularity.
IRON MAN LEGACY #1 $3.99 - maybe; Van Lente's a genius, and I decided to stop buying IIC, so there's some scheduling room, but I'm not sure I'm interested enough.
NEW MUTANTS #12 XSC $2.99 - "Second Coming" got off to a decent start.
SIEGE CAPTAIN AMERICA #1 $2.99 - maybe; I like Gage as a writer, like the characters.
SIEGE LOKI #1 $2.99 - maybe.
SIEGE YOUNG AVENGERS #1 $2.99 - will buy, since I buy any scrap of printed material with these guys.

Let me get this straight. While Marvel claims that SIEGE itself is only 4 chapters, 5 if you count SIEGE: THE CABAL one shot, it also is setting 3-5 one shots written by other writers on or before SIEGE #4? Or is this some sort of publishing glitch? Because while I'd say it was bizarre to release epilogues to a finale before the finale ships, but that's what Marvel did with CAPTAIN AMERICA REBORN, didn't they?

And, one shots includes, SIEGE is 10 parts. Not counting tie-in's, not counting epilogue stuff like FALLEN. And Marvel wonders why no fan trusts their word.

Still, the creative teams for all the one shots are good, so I'll get them. 3 comics, but at $4, it is like buying 4. Despite that, still a tiny week. Got to love the "feast or famine" publishing schedule.

Agreed. I only got aboard THUNDERBOLTS for Jeff Parker, but he's made it a must read very quickly. And Gage has gotten even better on AVENGERS: THE INITIATIVE in it's home stretch. If anything SIEGE has really helped A:TI's sales; some issues' sales went up by 20-30%.

I guess, but you can't really say you're surprised they are milking this with offshoots. I mean, this is what they always do

I know. But then Marvel turns around and wonders why fans are cynical and don't trust them at their word, with anything. Reap, sow.

Just admit that you're milking, stand up and own it. Be proud.
