The New Diamond List for May 19th, 2010

MARVEL COMICS

AGE OF HEROES #1 (OF 4) HA $3.99 - maybe.
AVENGERS #1 HA $3.99 - maybe.
INVINCIBLE IRON MAN #26 HA $2.99 - can never seem to drop this title.
X-FACTOR #205 XSC $2.99
X-MEN LEGACY #236 XSC $2.99

Those Authority comics are the last thing I remember seeing Ha's name on.

He recently did all the covers for JSA vs. Kobra, a few covers for Irredeemable, and all three covers for Blackest Night: JSA. He also did variants for Kevin Smith's Batman: Widening Gyre. Beyond covers, I don't see much from him.

Seems that way. I told him how much I enjoyed those first two Authority issues that he drew, and that I was disappointed he wasn't finishing the rest after they called it "Lost Year." He said something to the effect of it being too much at this time...or that he was too busy; but, what's he really busy with? It's too bad, because his art was so nice to look at.

BATMAN STREETS OF GOTHAM #12 $3.99
EX MACHINA #49 (MR) $2.99 - god BKV, you're taking forever!
SCALPED #1 NEW PTG $1.00

AVENGERS #1 HA $3.99
AVENGERS ASSEMBLE #1 HA $3.99

ENTER THE HEROIC AGE #1
INVINCIBLE IRON MAN #26

Huge week. Out of all of those Marvel comics, only one is $2.99 and one is even $4.99 (and it isn't the handbook). I understand a bit of work goes into these anthologies, but we are in a recession, fellas. Not even the world champion Yankees can sell out a stadium these days.

I knew when the first week was slow, we would get a few heavy ones like this. Still, looks like a solid week. Looks like it is too heavy for me to give that RESCUE one shot a try. Oh, well. Considering that Marvel has done quite a lot of things to try to boost their ATLAS franchise (minis with the X-Men and Avengers, and back up strips), a shame they didn't try a #1 issue at $2.99.
