Yeah. I guess we should just concentrate on Apocalypse now and see where he characters end up. But it could be a big leak that fox wasn't expecting so they could just be denying it for now.

If this is taking place within years of Apolycaspe they can't ignore prior students , but they also can't just have everyone show up cause there is nothing separating it from the main IP. So yeah, Storm makes the most sense there. My concern with her was I just don't want her to stop being part of the main team.

Going off of how big a fan Boone is and if the rumors are true, we are looking to get a pretty accurate flick. If they decide to switch decades again they could have Colossus be a teenager not too far from his Sister.

Yeah, if they set NM in the late 80's, Illyana could be like 15ish, Colossus could be 18-19. So, Colossus in DP would be mid-late 40's. Not ideal, but COULD work.

well since it's likely about a new team unless that new team is Scott,Jean and kurt then you want focus on a new group and not on the more recognised group.

Otherwise what's the point of doing it.

McWeeny's a pretty reliable source. I have a feeling he's onto something, and Fox's denial is just the usual PR stuff before things are set in stone. Depending on how fast the Revival will be done and ready, New Mutants could definitely be one of the 2018 films.

But alas, more patience is needed. Maisie Williams and Anna Taylor Joy would be knockout casting from Fox though and got me waaaay too pumped up. They could turn into JLaw and or the next Tye Sheridan for all we know. Having 3-4 female leads in an YA action superhero film would pretty cool, considering how there is usually a few women in comparison to more men. I'd give Fox a lot of props for doing stuff like that.
