everything in new mutants report is looking likely.I know some don't want to

thats perfect because Magik needs to be one of the breakout stars of X-Men going forward and she's the right girl for the job

I just did my homework on the New Mutants and I have to say I'm getting
EXTREMELY excited about this movie! I hope we are getting some news ASAP!

New Mutants was one of those corners of the X-Men universe in the 1980s I never paid particularly attention to. I started reading X-Men in the late 1990s and my young x-teenagers have been always Generation X (M, Jubilee, Skin, Chamber, Husk & Synch...God rest their souls).

There are endless possibilties how they can shape this movie to be distinct from the other X-movies. I personally would love to see them using the magical corner of the X-universe: A small group of Xavier's students is getting by accident teleported by Illyana Rasputin's powers into the demon dimension Limbo. They need to fight their way back home to the institute while Illyana is getting slowly corrupted by Belasco. You could surely also find a way to put the Demon Bear into the movie.

Hopefully some news on this project soon! And let's also hope they don't play it save on this one and find a way to excite the audience again for the X-Men world!

New mutants is probally going to be more supernatural and ailen threats.
possibly even a test if they want to bring in ailens like shiar in X-Men films.

I wonder what kinda budget will they give this. Theres going to be some decent amount of CGI for the powers. I'm guessing Rahne won't go full on wolf and will be via makeup/prosthetics to save money from Mo-Cap. Dani's powers should be easy enough and shouldn't cost that much. Depending on what they do with Illyana, should be too bad, but Sam and Roberto would be a lot. As well Warlock...depending on what they do with him.

I'm sure Rahne will go full wolf, and even then I feel like her Transitional Form will require some form of CGI or motion capture as well. The New Mutants all have a very dynamic and visually oriented power set so I don't think they'll be going cheap with it, especially if they're going to try and bring things like Limbo, Warlock and or Demon Bear to the screen.

Hopefully they don't F4 it with the budget, and if they have to cut stuff out, I hope Boone can do it as well as Singer and Tim Miller did on their X-films.

I could see fox spending 120 million similar to budget for the wolverine and budget for FF at least before they paniced and did reshoots to try to salvage film.

If they could have colossus in deadpool and it only cost 58 million they can
wolfsbane in wolf form and sunspot in effects form.Deadpool also had
NTw so they can do cannonball's power.

It's doudtful resigning james Mcavoy for supporting role as Xavier would cost as much as hugh Jackman got for the wolverine and upcoming third wolverine film which got 127 million budget.

They might limit for budget reasons going full on powers for the new mutants to a danger room traning sequenze.and the film's third act.

they will probally shoot in eather canada or new orleans.

If New Mutants is set in the past, you could still potentially have the "Young X-Men" set in the present, right?

Yeah, New Mutants could possibly be the bridge between flagship films that'll help mitigate some of the decade jumping. They could treat New Mutants as another squad of the X-Men like in Vol3. and then have something else in the present (which could be where they throw in someone like NTW)

NM should probably get FC money though.

Kinberg has said new mutants will have a totally different tone to the other movies so it's likely not just being made as an excuse to be X-Men mark 2.

New Mutants is based on vol 1 comics.

The difference between X-Men and new mutants is while X-Men is strike force new mutants are students being trained in their powers who get into adventres on their own.
If Shipp does indeed show up as Storm it could be case of storm taking part of danger room session with them which did happen in comics or when new mutants get In
trouble storm is sent to try to bail them out which also would be consent with comics.

yeah.Although with Magik as part of lineup that's pretty much a given.

I won't be surprised if the threat In New Mutants comes from limbo or
supernatural realm.

Boone menting warlock in film also raises possibilty of ailen element to plot.
