But Barry killed Zoom by accident and turned himself in to the authorities for what happened.

So if Ollie had killed Prometheus and then, what, turned himself in, Barry would be okay wi oh wait. I don't actually care. None of this is interesting in the least. I got bored just typing this.

I've written down my feelings about the recent Green Arrow events.

http://www.wompnation.com/comics_downfall.html

In fairness they destroyed Metropolis that one time and that was only way too drawn out and kind of boring and then they brought it back with magic they could have used just as easily like immediately after its destruction.

Destroying cities: Not always totally stupid and terrible; sometimes just sort of mediocre!

Probably because no one in the real world give a **** about Lian either.

You...you actually read my essay? :D

Wait, when was Metropolis destroyed?

Haha, "comic downfall." Gee, I wonder how you felt, Womp? :oldrazz:

Ha! The comics is just a subsection. WN has "toons" "comics" "sketches" "bio" etc. And the downfall was more about Ollie than the comic industry.

I happened to pick up The Rise and Fall Special...it was all right. I did find it interesting that when Diana killed, she was very calm and collected about it. Rational in her motivation. Ollie, like he usually is, is just unhinged. That could either very quickly make the story very interesting or very stupid.

Can it be a story about the inherent hypocrisy of superheroes? Can it be a story about how Ollie is right about what he decided to do?

Or will it be simply another 6 months where a character acts out of character and then is promptly returned to the status quo?

Truthfully, it seems like the latter is much more probable. But I give Krul a lot of credit if he could pull off the former successfully in the next few months of GA.

This, give or take a few months.

Thank you for answering a question I answered an hour before you.

I like to make it a habit to answer rhetorical questions. Who knew? (Me. I knew.)

"The Fall of Green Arrow" begins here! Spinning out of the shocking events of JUSTICE LEAGUE: CRY FOR JUSTICE and JUSTICE LEAGUE: THE RISE AND FALL SPECIAL #1 comes the destruction of Green Arrow. As Oliver Queen's inner turmoil and guilt overwhelms him, secrets are revealed that will tear him asunder. What will the Emerald Archer reveal to the world that will change his life and the lives of the people around him forever? And why are Hal Jordan (Green Lantern), Barry Allen (The Flash) and the rest of the Justice League hunting him?

Ollie should of acted like Samuel L.Jackson in the film A Time To Kill and shouted "Yes he deserved to die, I hope he burns in hell!"

I'm trying to figure out which forced dysfunctional relationship I hate more--Hal and Bruce, or Barry and Ollie...

Oh, GA 31 was pretty decent by the way.

I liked the Hal/Bruce relationship before Johns made everything all rainbows and sunshine again over the course of like half an issue.

Barry and Ollie have always just been sort of awkward to me because they really had no relationship themselves, even though they both seemed to lay claim to being Hal's BFF. I'm not sure what they're doing with Barry and Ollie now, but if they're trying to give them some kind of relationship, I figure that's gotta be better than the weird non-relationship they had before.

Has it ever really been shown that Ollie and Barry don't get along? Seemed a little forced to me (though admittedly I'm only a GA reader and have only a rudimentary knowledge of DC interactions). I always knew that Bruce and Hal don't really see eye to eye. But I've never gotten the impression that Barry had beef with anyone in particular.

The whole thing feels kinda forced. Although Ollie killing Promethus was premeditated as opposed to his life or death choice back in Longbow Hunters, his being hunted down by the JLA (which is kinda sensible) and him being such a freakin' tool about it all just seems to undermine everything they've tried to do with Ollie since he returned from death. He didnt react this way the last time half of Star City got blown up. He didn't react this way when Connor got shot and suffered (as far as Ollie and everyone else who examined him knew) irreparable brain damage.

Not really looking forward to this "big year for Green Arrow". I'm not keen on 'no chance of redemption' for my favourite heroes. The fact that he already murdered Prometheus shows us there's no return from it. Hunting Prometheus down and being stopped from killing him just before he follows through is one thing. But this takes it too far.

New Green Arrow Relaunch

March 18, 2010 - Fresh off the heels of the devastating impact of Justice League: Cry for Justice, Oliver Queen has a lot to deal with. The murder of Prometheus as well as Roy Harper's shattered life have changed Queen's life forever, and DC intends to continue exploring that impact with a new Green Arrow series starting this June.

J.T. Krul will be returning as writer with his recent GA partner, Diogenes Neves. Aside from a cover for the new Green Arrow #1, DC provided some details courtesy of Krul himself. Here's what he had to say:

"In the wake of the turmoil in Star City, the people need someone in their corner more now than ever. Most of those in power, be it business or government, are looking for ways to exploit the situation to their advantage. The city is rife with crime and corruption of epic proportions and it's only getting worse. But all is not lost. Oliver Queen's got his quiver. Now, it's time for Green Arrow to move into the role he was always meant to be - outlaw for the people."

I hate the inconsistency with bows used for Ollie pin ups. It's bad enough the smallville GA is running round with a compound. But the pic above he's using a garden archery bow - that just screams professional now doesn't it...

Yeah, not really interested in another GA series. I wonder if the removal of "Black Canary" from the title means Dinah's leaving him. That would be great.

I like 'em being married. I just think them being a permanent crime fighting team detracts from the greatness of each character individually. Is Dinah still on Birds of Prey?

Wow. Another Green Arrow relaunch. That's some nice long term planning there DC.

Hi. New poster.

Just wondering... Am I the only one here who still desperately hopes that Connor is going to take over for his now irrevocably insane/murderous pa?

"Take over" as in become a villain? I very much hope he doesn't. Adventure Comics just got done making a great case for why Conner has the potential to be a great hero.

I think he/she means "take over" as in become the new Green Arrow again while Ollie gets his anti-hero on.
