He could do with a more refined rogues gallery. Psychotics more than hired assassins.

I think he could use a few more professional criminal types.

Also, I forgot about Drakon. That midget assassin was kinda awesome.

I was just about to mention Constatine Drakon.

Eh, I didn't like the latest issue of this title...makes me want to drop it. I liked most of what's been done since it changed to GA/BC but the ending panels of this issue just kinda piss me off.

The Rise of Arsenal and the Fall of Green Arrow

Take a minute to process that amazing piece of Mauro Cascioli art. Ok. Done? Let’s go.
If you’ve been following JUSTICE LEAGUE: CRY FOR JUSTICE, then you know some major events have been shaking up Green Arrow and his supporting cast’s status. Specifically, Red Arrow finding himself one arm short of a pair.
What happens when a hero has a fateful decision to make? And how can another hero rebuild his world after a life-altering tragedy?
Both ideas are explored in two special books hitting in March, both written by J.T. Krul: JUSTICE LEAGUE: THE RISE AND FALL #1, which bridges the gap between JUSTICE LEAGUE: CRY FOR JUSTICE, JUSTICE LEAGUE OF AMERICA and the upcoming JUSTICE LEAGUE: THE RISE OF ARSENAL four-issue mini-series. Concurrently, readers of the ongoing GREEN ARROW series will deal with the fallout in a storyline titled “The Fall of Green Arrow,” starting with issue #31.
What happened? Who’s to blame? What does this mean for the Emerald Archer and his former sidekick? We don’t know, but we can shine the spotlight on Mr. Krul for a sec to share a few thoughts.

Take it away, J.T.:
“I was super fortunate to be able to play a role in BLACKEST NIGHT, and I have to say I’m even more excited — if that’s possible — about being able to take on Roy Harper and Green Arrow as their stories spill out of Cry For Justice. James has been building to a monster climax in his book, and no two characters will be as changed as much as Roy and Ollie. And, the story isn’t even over yet. The title RISE and FALL says it all in terms of where these characters are headed. It’s going to be a dark and tragic road for both them and I’m hoping readers will be hooked by where Ollie and Roy come out in the end.”
And, because we’re all about giving you guys a tad more than usual this week, check out IGN’s interview with Krul.

:cmad:

Why can't DC stop screwing over GA with bad writers and worse concepts? :(

Is it just me or does his costume look exactly like the Smallville GA costume

No, it's exactly like the Smallville GA costume.

While i love the artwork on the cover. It truly doesn't seem GA's has had the best year when it comes to him getting written. :/

The blacked out figure of the #7 cover is Red Arrow. Roy Harper had his arm torn off by an unseen assaliant. Supergirl's heat vision cauterized the wound... but I dont see how there's a way out of this. Looks like we have another maimed Titan on our hands..... Roy now only has one arm....

It does explain the OMENS & ORIGINS where Roy is in the hospital bed... and even the issue of TITANS where Roy is in that hospital bed with Donna by his side.

Here's the page

Wow so Roy is the now the one limbed archer?

Roy: Only one arm
Connor: Forgot how to shoot

I'm gonna take a wild guess and predict Mia's AIDS kill her in the next year, making Ollie the only real archer left (crossbows don't count, and I think everyone forgot Arrowette exists).

Let me guess. Arsenal is like a 90s extreme Ranger type anti-hero? =P

No, he is Roy, back when he was awesome and not crappys**tynogood Red Arrow.

So is this supposed to be an Ollie going off the rails thing? Might finally be an explanation for the so far inexplicable alleged rage building in Ollie lately that's made him almost glad Cupid's killed a bunch of his rogues. He's been feeling generally angry, then this happens and it sends him over the edge.

I'm guessing Roy is going to get a bionic arm to make his aim even more insane. Although from what I understood Roy already "couldn't miss" or something so this makes no sense other than make his story more tragic. I hope that GA gets out of this slump though because I used to enjoy coming in and grabbing my GA comic but lately I haven't cared.

I dunno. Getting back to the "Arsenal" name instead of "Red Arrow" is already a decent step, imo. For three whole years everyone at DC just up and forgot that Roy is an arms expert (:awesome:) and total techie on top of it.

seriously the only thing thats keeping me interested in GA/BC is the character cupid. and even then that's starting to wear extremely thin

Having one arm is gonna make it real hard for Roy to shoot up
