The New X-Force

Oh, I gotcha. Yeah, I wouldn't hate it. It seems like Yost and Kyle are fans of the Lobdell years, what with Bastion, and Graydon was a huge part of Lobdell's stories for a while.

I wonder if Angel will stay this way now, or if it will carry over to the other books.

I really can't stand this book though, so I don't know if it will be worth picking up just to see Archangel again.

I don't know when this is supposed to take place, but Warren's in Uncanny X-Men #500 with his feather wings.

Yeah, he'll probably be back or discover some way to shoot out metal wings when the time is right. Which would be kind of cool IMO.

I would rather pretend the book doesn't happen.

The only thing the book has going for it is Bastion...who I actually loved during Operation: Zero Tolerance.

But the downside is the books is nothing but another Wolverine book, with three other Wolverines for good measure. They might as well add Wolfcub to the mix since they turned him into another Wolverine clone.:whatever:

I'd prefer if they just left him with the metal wings and the blue skin. He always looked cooler and was more effective as an X-Man that way. The only reason for him to have his feather wings is to lighten him up, but let's face it, the X-Men are no longer a light team and probably never will be again. Even Beast is dour and boring all the time now. I say just let Warren go back over to the dark side and become another Wolverine Lite.

I would rather him have the metal wings, only with his current jovial personality.

We don't need anymore Wolverines. :(

But angst is the X-Men's bread and butter.

Brubaker is slowly bringing the personality back to the characters, and Astonishing has been working on doing that also.

The last arc about the hippies was pretty light, almost like a classic X-story, silly and lighthearted.

I choose to ignore X-Force and Young X-Men since both of them have skrullclops attached to them or something.

Isn't Cyclops kill-crazy in Uncanny X-Men, too? I'm just waiting for Magneto to show up and Scott to yell, "Frag this bastich, X-b****es!!!!1"

Nope, Cyclops in Uncanny is like he has been for the past years, only not so brooding.

He is nowhere near how they show him in X-Force, and the Cyclops in Young X-Men isn't the real one.

I would love to hear him speak like that though, it would be hilarious.

Heck, I would pay to see Bruce Campbell play Batman if he was given the opportunity.

Or maybe he could pull an Eddie Murphy and play the whole X-Men.

Wouldn't this pretty difficult to do when um....you're posting in their threads.:o

Isn't that what the internet is for? Griping and complaining and such? ;)

I actually don't read them much, but I keep up with them just in case the stories spill over to other comics....such as this arch-angel story.

Yeah, but you want to ignore them, pretend that they don't exist. By posting here, you're doing th exact opposite. Deep down, you love teh X-Force.
