The "News of the World" Hacking Scandal

Color me jaded, but an informat whose information about phone hacking has brought down News of the World and made Robert Murdock nervous in his media empire died suddenly makes me more than a little suspicious. If we were looking for a possible motive, you won't have to look far to find a dozen of them.

LulzSec have hacked into the Sun Newspaper website and the News International website... both sites now re-directing to the LulzSec twitter account...

and they seem to be tweeting details on News International execs phone numbers and the like...

I find this EPIC-LY hilarious, especially since FOX was demanding Julian Assange and Bradley Manning be tortured and hanged. Oh, the irony :awesome:

FOX News, in no way, shape or form, can spin this.

Damage Control. Damage Control. Damage Control.

Must... think... of... Janet Jackson/Justin Timberlake,... Robert Kelly,...

From twitter...

@Danatkinson: Latest websites down are times.co.uk, sunday-times.co.uk, newsinternational.co.uk, thesun.co.uk, rupertmurdoch.co.uk. Someone's been busy!

I'm watching the hearings now on Fox...

A protestor came in with some paint or something to throw at Murdoch...he was stopped.

BTW, while these hearings have been going on over the past 3 hours....News.Corp shares have gone up 5%...

That **** deserves anything he gets thrown at him

Oh yes. From guests to hosts from shows like Fox & Friends and Hannity demanded they be severely punished.

And they used the verbage "tortured and hung"?

That **** deserves anything he gets thrown at him

That is very disrespectful in parliament though.....

Rupert's Murdoch's young wife took the women out.....lmao. She is actually the one who stopped her.

I'm reading what's being said & he did he actually say

Murdoch: No. Because people I trusted have let me down, they betrayed the company... and its for them to pay. I'm the best person to clean this up

So basically he thinks he is in the right here over all of this & that he should not be punished in any way but the people who ratted this out ?

Actually they had just asked if he would resign....that is the context of the answer. I don't know that he believes he is "right" persay, but he believes it is up to him to clean it up. That is how it came across in the full context of his statement at the end of the hearing.

Rebekah Brooks is now being questioned in the hearings....

She won't be able to answer as openly as I think they will want her too, but if I were her lawyer, she would be saying very little.

He should resign because this was done under his watch & knowing him either came up with the idea or approved of it

You know Rupert Murdoch, Donut? Old cricket teammates perhaps?

Proof?

I'm not saying he did or didn't, nor do I "know" him.....I'm just interested in seeing your proof....

Murdoch got hit by custard pie-welding comedian protester Jonnie Marbles.

Its way too easy for people to throw stuff at people in this country I remember when Lord Mandelson got green custard thrown at him and when deputy prime minister John Prescott got a egg tossed at him

I thought that was acceptable? Maybe it's the House of Commons I'm thinking of. :funny:
