Try google, and see for yourself how different he can look.

I have already tried that and he just looks like different looks for a girl. He doesn't exactly look any more masculine.

I've seen pics where he appears to be two different persons

You were probably thinking of this one: :o

But that nose doesn't come off so it's not part of the disguise. :o

I'm so very tired of the DOB arguments, both for and against. Just tired.

Just my opinion but I don't really want a British actor again for Spidey. Garfield was ok because he grew up with an American father so was around to hear the different speech patterns (much like Jamie Bamber and his accent, which was fantastic but still wavered a bit). I don't want that for Spidey. The actor would probably spend so much time worrying about the accent, the performance would suffer. I know they'll cast the best person for the role but I would be lying if I said I didn't hope it would be American (or even Canadian).

That's what I think. But last time I said that I got jumped on by people claiming that British people can use American accents, and if not they can get a trainer so its no problem...
I can get an actor trainer and comedian trainer and I'm 17, around the right age, so there's no problem with me being spider-man. :whatever:
See the logic failure? Having to get a trainer means the person is not as fit for the role. No matter what the reason...
Not to mention, just getting a trainer wont fix much within a few weeks, it takes years for actors to shape their character, and to get a perfect accent? Andrew had grown up his whole life practically practicing, so he did fine. But someone who has never done an American accent likely wont be able to pull it off very well, or would focus too much on it.

I sense people not wanting Asa in the role because he's a Brit :hmm

With a so-called comedy coach, they can teach you to say the right things or how to interpret certain lines, but they would have trouble giving you that innate mindset that is needed to have that natural comic flair. It's not just in the explicitly humorous moments but even in other moments that it's needed. Otherwise Peter will seem like he's just switching it on and switching it off mechanically, instead of seeming like a naturally funny guy.

Maybe it would be better to look at Disney actors or at least actors who have played in sitcoms or comedy films already. They need a teenage version of Chris Pratt or RDJ to successfully execute the motor mouth side of Spidey. We ought to have already seen glimpses of that in Asa Butterfinger's interviews, but instead he comes across very dry, almost deadpan, and lacking in that nervous frenetic energy that Feige talks about.

I don't think it's as simple as just saying it's because he's a Brit, as if people simply want the accurate and correct nationality for Peter. It's that Americans tend to already have a certain attitude and way of behaving or even speaking that will be natural to them. Therefore they won't have to think of these things and can concentrate on other aspects.

If Asa has to think about sounding American, coming across not dry but with enough energy, and making sure he is funny enough in addition to acting the scenes, it's more likely he could be stilted because there are just too many different things going on in his head at once.

And what film has he been shooting for him to talk American? :hmm

Shooting or casting? :hmm

Yes...:hmm

I know he's shooting a Tim Burton movie right now...but we know Tim likes British accents more than anything else in the world :hehe:
And since that film has a good balance of British actors, British sounding (Eva Green) It makes me wonder...:hmm

He was interested in the role, according to reports, around the 14th of March...

Mateus Ward was rumored around the 23rd.

Asa made that tweet on the 5th. So by then, they were already casting :hmm
