Ignoring the fact that's not true, nothing you have said is factually correct either, it's your own conjecture based off of your own interpretation, which according to the only bit of factual evidence we have (the emails) is incorrect.

Given that every single one of my statements have been based directly on the reporting done by multiple websites regarding the specific details of the deal struck by Sony and Marvel, your statement that what I've been saying is not factually correct is a blatant falsehood.

about 2002 spiderman being the breakthrough that it is, I'm not doubting that, but naming the reboot that wouldn't be a box office gamble.

and in any case, the general audience's confusion will diffuse or be prevented once they see spiderman in cap3.

and by now they'll start getting the trends anyway because last year there was a quicksilver in an x men movie and it's not only a different actor but just pretty much a different character. which is kinda true.

People didn't want a reboot in 2012 and a second reboot will test their patience. So it will most likely be marketed more like a sequel in a long line of movies ala James Bond rather than being marketed like a reboot, so no "Spider-man" or "Marvel's Spider-man" which would register to the GA just as "Spider-man" anyway. And since they don't obviously wanna connect it to the Amazing Spider-man series specifically it wont have 3 but an under-title.

Like it or not, Spider-man doesn't have the pull it used to have because audiences fell in love with these new characters while Spider-man desperately tried to not suck. We have 5 movies of Spider-man of doing the same thing, while MCU is evolving constantly. Even if it's great with a simplistic but well done Spider-man story, marketing-wise it needs to have more pull especially in the first solo movie. So, a promise of something new and exciting like "this is the Spider-man that will join the Avengers" is gonna have to be there or GA will be bored when they just look at the poster

:wow: Liam James was that kid version of James Roday on Psych!
With long hair he doesn't look as jockey... at least when he was younger he didn't.
Wonder if he would still look PPerish if he had longer hair?

He's one of the three actors on the shortlist who give me STRONG Peter Parker vibes in "The Way, Way Back"
doesn't look or feel like a jock at all.

I really liked The Way, Way Back, but I found him very wooden in it. And the clip you posted has no dialogue from him in it, which is kind of important. :cwink:

What are you talking about? They're going MOS style and not giving him a line until halfway through the movie... Didn't you hear? ;)

I think it was because he was suppose to be this shy, awkward kid who didn't know how to make friends. just look at the scene between him and AnnaSophia, he's obviously never really talked to a girl before, it's all about the movement, the awkwardness.

Coincidentally, Sam Rockwell plays a character in this movie(Justin Hammer)

Does that apply to Lerman as well? :cwink:

I'm still on Team O'Brien until a *press release* says otherwise.
You mean if Lerman gets the role, you change to "Team Lerman"? Maybe even claiming to have been rooting for him all along?

Always cheering for the winning team, ain't you? :oldrazz:

And I hope you don't get any. you're finally waking up to reality. :p

You're the furthest from reality out of everyone here, harryoscop.

Why yes, yes it does. you'll see soon enough. :cwink:

We get it man, you have a "source". Sorry, what I meant is you have a "person who inboxes you on the hype who gets messages from Jeff Sneider occasionally". We know man, you're special. We're not worthy.

Like I said, I'll eventually come around to whoever gets it if not O'Brien because Marvel must have seen something in him that I'm not in the position to see, but as it stands, I don't buy anyone else as being as good of a fit as O'Brien.

And as far as not being on Team O'Brien anymore if he doesn't get cast, I suppose I could also say I won't be on Team O'Brien anymore if he does. Because the whole purpose of Team O'Brien is to support him getting the role if he hasn't already, and if he does, Team O'Brien is no longer needed. :cwink:

If I join Team O'Brien do I get a t-shirt or anything? Are there cookies?

Doesn't matter. Team O'Brien for life!

Huh? what makes you say that? I change my favs for Pete based on what news gets reported. I'm probably going to be one of the few people who aren't disappointed with the final casting choice, I'm as close to reality as you can get.

Wait until Lerman is rumoured to be in the running again, and you'll change again
Okay, I'll quote you on that one. I'm willing to bet 25 Internet Dollars that I won't change if Lerman comes back.

So then it's not your favorite, you change who you're rooting for based on the front runner in the race. Gotcha.

You literally just proved that you're a phony, haha. Thanks for that.

James is my favorite. He can look geeky while still having the superhero chin.

But you said:
I won't change to Lerman as easily one might think. I have to be interested in the candidate first and foremost.

Nah, not really.. because usually I don't change my number 1 pick only the 2nd and third choices.

I supported Dylan for nearly two months, only when five sources started reporting that he was out of the race is when my hope and supporting started to cease.

That shortlist was the final nail in the coffin for me, no going back for me. the least I can hope for is that Dylan gets to voice Spidey in the animated film
