He clarified himself that he's spcualting like us and going off of what is official. How is that vague?
The character will be needed on set in June. That's stated, not speculation.

Anyone who believes redditleaker's crap is blind.

The guy constantly contradicts himself. I can't remember how many times he's said "we should be getting the announcement in the next week or two" and the "#dylanforspidey"s keep believing him because they're going to off themselves if he isn't Spidey.

Once an actual legit source comes out and says filming for Spider-Man's Civil War scenes doesn't start until June, he acts like he's known this the whole time and brings it up in everything, even having the balls to repeat "we should be seeing an announcement around June time". Some of the movie ideas he makes up are strange. Even though Feige has said they want a 15-16 year old Spider-Man, he said they're looking at the idea of Agent Venom making an appearance in future films. Is Flash going to join the army at 15, become a war veteran worthy enough to be given the symbiote, and become a member of the Guardians of the Galaxy, all while being a high school jock? Seems legit. Once Marvel said they're looking for a 15-16 year old Spider-Man, redditleaker said the movies will be inspired by the Ultimate comics. You know, the ones with a 15-16 year old Spidey.

How does a guy who spends all day posting on Reddit have a high-enough position in Sony or Marvel or wherever he believes to be working for for him to know the basic story outlines for the 2017 Spider-Man solo film? The guy's making at least two posts per hour, how does he even have a job? Is redditleaker Kevin Feige himself? :wow:

The guy is a complete con artist. I know you want Dylan, but this guy's a grade A bull*****ter. Besides, he's a Redditor. There's already a 95% chance he's lying.

Just to play devil's advocate: I'm at work right now getting my job done. But I have enough time to come read up real quick and leave my opinions.

I just don't see this redditleaker's end game if he's not actually getting info. Sure he could be pulling our chain. His chain could also be the one being pulled. Such is the life of getting your information from a "source".

Yeah, stated by Jeff Sneider. He said himself that he's going off of that and not what he knows.

Sooo, this "speculator" has high-up sources and knows the story outlines and main characters for a Spider-Man film coming out in two years? He also knows for damn certain that O'Brien is no doubt Spider-Man. Not speculating, but confirming.

False hope. That's the word I was looking for in my last post. O'Brien fans throw every question that you could possibly think of at redditleaker and are somehow answered everytime. He comes up with answers out of his ass and they ALWAYS please them. God, O'Brien supporters are really pissing me off.

Does my mental image of O'Brien fans being teenage fangirls give off any negative vibes?

Same reason why all the other proven fake Reddit leakers do it.

Look at Spoilerman who was apparently a worker for Lucasfilm and leaked a bunch of false info about The Force Awakens. People do it for attention, and because it's fun to speculate. Look at /r/StarWarsLeaks. The amount of bull*****ters on there is ridiculous.

Agreed. But there's no reason to write him off. Then again, there might be, just don't be an ******* about it.

"I'm going off of what's official this time, not off of what I know, just speculating like you guys. The announcement dates I gave you all got screwed - for whatever reason - don't know, sorry about that. The character will be needed on set in June, I say with certainty that if we don't hear anything at the end of this month or May, we're going to hear something in June. Like I said, it's pretty much set in stone. And it's my solid belief, with good reason, that we'll get something by then."
Just looked at my Reddit inbox.

That post was a reply to me lol.

This is all correct. I think the most telling thing was his reaction to Dylan's initial denial through Buzzfeed:

[–]redditleaker23456

I tried reaching out to my source, he's not telling me anything. Maybe Dylan is denying it, but I don't know man. I think I was lied too.

He later updated the main post for damage control:

UPDATE Source got back to me, says Dylan is only denying being cast because he was told do so. From my perspective, after what just happened, that could be true, but it also might not be. We'll see what turns up.

It could be true - but it could also not be true. I think that covers all the possibilities, right? In any event, his initial, panicked reaction is where I stopped taking him seriously. Even if it turns out that Dylan gets cast, which looks very unlikely, he still won't have any credibility.

Some of the guys on here aren't so bad, but the redditleaker disciples on Reddit? Oh my...

Trust me, I know. I doubt a lot of the things he says and because of that, I once got downvoted so much that my comment disappeared. It's bad how much they love him over there, but it's not his fault.

I agree with you about redditleaker being more false hope than anything at this point. I think I heard the term "doomsday cult" lobbed at them on a different forum once.

But can I just ask, why does everyone feel the need to pull out the "fangirl" or just the general "they're being a bunch of girls" comments. And it's not just you Fruit Pastilles, so forgive me if I feel like I'm singling you out.

So what if they're girls? So what if they're teenagers? They're opinions are as equally valid as a teenage boy or almost anyone else's. I don't understand the need to belittle them or to treat being young or a girl as an insult.

We either list teenagers or 20+ actors for Peter. But is it possible to combine and get our own ultimate shortlists?

My high school candidates:
1. Asa Butterfield
2. Isaac Hempstead-Wright
3. Troye Sivan
4. Chandler Riggs
wild card: Tom Holland
and my college dudes
1. Logan Lerman
2. Liam Aiken
3. Freddie Highmore
4. Thomas Sangster
and
5. Frank Dillane - he really blew me away with his performance as Tom Riddle. He must have left a big impression on Sony too, because that was pretty much the only thing he had done and yet he was a contender for Peter.
Then it will be something like this:

1. Logan Lerman
2. Asa Butterfield
3. Isaac Hempstead
4. Liam Aiken
5. Troye Sivan

The ones who believe every word that comes out of his mouth and downvotes everyone who dares to question him.
So what happens if Dylan is actually cast? Are you guys going to believe him, or just think of more ways to bash him?

They'll find more ways to bash him instead of just letting things be. Don't that know why that is, but things are always like that.

I'm a teenager myself. Please don't think I'm trying to discriminate them. The fangirl comment is really just a subsitute for fanboy. Don't think I mean actual females.

Thanks, mate :)

Do you actually give Cameron Bright 4 points of 5 for Peter Parker? That's was unique

Fair enough.

Am I going to believe every word this guy says from now on for saying that the favorite for the role is going to get it?

I'm going to have to say no to the "we're going to see the announcement next week" every week guy.

Did you even read the rest of my post? How in the world could he have the time to post this much on Reddit. Ughhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

"Dylan is cast" isn't the barometer for whether he's accurate. He's claiming that Dylan has already been cast, and yet every single scrap of information we've had for two months now contradicts that. Even if Dylan gets cast, he was still wrong about the initial claim that Dylan has already been cast. And that's just his signature claim; it doesn't go into all of the other times he has made claims in the thread about things that he says his source is telling him.

I want Dylan to have the role, but if he gets the role it could well be a case of the tail wagging the dog.

I kind of answered that, but let me rephrase since I know now that you are a teenager: A lot of people have desk jobs. Desk jobs can often provide ample time for someone to be on the Internet. My job is 100% Internet based. I get a lot done at work sitting in front of my computer. I also spend a ridiculous amount of time on here and on reddit. Multitasking can be useful when done right.
