Maybe I can gain some internet fame right now by creating an account on Reddit and saying a fan-favorite will get the role of a big character in another movie.

And maybe when my not so wild guess is correct, all the fanboys will forget all the completely nonsensical contradictory crap I said and take me for a legit source!

I kind of answered that, but let me rephrase since I know now that you are a teenager: A lot of people have desk jobs. Desk jobs can often provide ample time for someone to be on the Internet. My job is 100% Internet based. I get a lot done at work sitting in front of my computer. I also spend a ridiculous amount of time on here and on reddit. Multitasking can be useful when done right.

I am 28, and currently at work. It's definitely possible.

Don't forget that a large part of why people are trusting this guy on reddit is because he correctly predicted that the Sony/Marvel deal was happening. Maybe he made it up and it turned out to be correct. Maybe he did have a source. At this point there's really not a way for us to know.

No offense, but someone who works for one of the biggest film companies in the world and is high up enough to know information about a movie coming out in two years that is not publicly known probably doesn't have as much leeway as you to be on Reddit all the time.

The amount of times I've seen someone exactly like redditleaker and are proven false is a joke. I can't see him ending the pattern.

I think you are confusing redditleaker with his source. He has mentioned that he doesn't get information from his source every day. redditleaker could be a stay at home mom for all we know.

How the heck should I know? I have no idea who Sneider is....and don't care. I have speculated from time to time about what actor may be cast in some role, but have never obsessed over it. I never bother to hunt down internet "scoopers" so that I can follow their "inside information".


You must feel proud about that. Did you mark it on the calendar?

In fact, I kinda do. I'm thinking about making my own website about superhero news in the future as a hobby / side job, since that's a subject that I'm very passionate. These are the guys that hunt down the news that we obsess over, it's nice to meet people that are passionate about this stuff and are doing what they love.

"Dylan is cast" isn't the barometer for whether he's accurate. He's claiming that Dylan has already been cast, and yet every single scrap of information we've had for two months now contradicts that. Even if Dylan gets cast, he was still wrong about the initial claim that Dylan has already been cast. And that's just his signature claim; it doesn't go into all of the other times he has made claims in the thread about things that he says his source is telling him.

I want Dylan to have the role, but if he gets the role it could well be a case of the tail wagging the dog.

I do not believe this RL one bit, however, I do not believe the role has not been cast. Spiderman is to be in Civil War. Costume designing, getting ready for the role threw rehearsing, getting the right shape,getting to know the cast and filling out contracts are things that need to be done well before shooting.

That's why I believe this "shortlist" being released, while possibly true, is also dated. And the fact that this "shortlist" is being given recently means people are treating it as a recent shortlist.
