Another day, more Sneider bashing because people don't like what they're hearing.. :whatever:

I need to take a break from this place... or at least the Spider-Man part of SHH.

Harry I get where you're coming from but people have the right to form their own opinions about Sneider and his antics. No one needs to sing his praises and no one needs to believe him.

Of course everyone needs to form their own opinion. but I just can't help but feel like if he were Dylan as one the candidates, he would be getting a lot more support.

I do believe that it could be accurate. What I do not believe is that it is current. I just don't believe Marvel would hinge on a shortlist for yet-to-be-done screen testing when the part they're on the list for is set to start filming soon and no one on a shortlist is guaranteed to get the part.

It depends on the characters role in the story. If its just a cameo or little more than a cameo there's no rush to cast the character ASAP. The filming for CW could be up to a year . Heck, Marvel has been known to do reshoots weeks before a film release, so I doubt there's really much of a rush to cast the role as fans think.

Additionally, the reboot itself won't likely film before January of 2016 at the earliest so there's still time. They may have already cast the role, but if they've haven't its not as if their working up to the last minute. This is Cap's film with Iron Man, Black Panther, Black Widow and others, in which Spiderman will make an appearance. He's not the lead.

Possibly true. In the same way it seems those who don't want Dylan are taking this as an official shortlist and defending Sneider. Double edged sword. Skepticism is still not a bad thing though, which is why I take everything with a grain of salt.

I think it's in the same vein as Chadwick having been cast way before he'd be needed. Likewise for Cumberbatch (who has even longer a wait than Boseman!)

It seems more likely that he'd be cast already than that he isnt

Define how Marvel has done reshoots weeks before release. Because the shawarma scene is not a reshoot.

Also, if they're looking to shoot Spidey's scenes in June, if that is true, screen tests would have been done sooner. Because doing it now is rushing. Casting in advance is not the same as rushing.

I thought it was stated by someone that sneider has made comments that pretty much say he doesn't even like o'brien?

That list is definitely not a shortlist, it's a list of who Sneider thinks are possible contenders. The difference is enormous.

I wasn't sure if you guys heard about that actor Billy Unger being eyed for the role but here were some of the clues they had talked about on the report:
Not only was he using hashtag spiderman and something I found that was a bit fishy was this on his Instagram bio it says
"Chase on Dinsey XD's Lab Rats... Actor / Guitarist / Songwriter / Superhero ..."

See my sig...

Haven't been following the next spidey that long but his instagram's had that a while...and he's been referencing Spider-Man off an on for a long while...

...Lab Rats Fan...also...... :ninja:

Hope it isnt unger I just cant see him as Peter
Also posting #spiderman on twitter just makes no sense to me if he wants to be taken seriously by marvel

As has already been mentioned repeatedly, Unger would not be hashtagging his posts with #Spiderman if he were actually being considered for the role.

I know some have mentioned it on here, but I never took all the #spider-man stuff as a serious campaign for the role...

...which kind of goes with what you said...

...although he is one of my choices.

His character Chase on Lab Rats is a superhero though.

Good post, this was what I was attempting to say...LOL.

I would almost say he is out if he's doing that... Marvel makes sure all their actors keep secret until announcement. If he is posting #spiderman, then he is either twisting and bending rules, straight out breaking rules, or he never had to sign anything and thus he was not seriously considered.

word. what redditleaker has said about the nat wolff guy in relation to o'brien
Nat and Dylan denied it in similar ways, Dylan was a little more on edge though. And his manager was just... Weird.

the thing is... he shouldn't be sounding like people should still speculate if he KNOWS for fact o'brien is cast.

There's no way Unger is in the running at all if he's trying to start his own trend.

well, let's pretend he is cast. what is marvel gonna do if he trends/hints at him getting the role/outright says it? fire him and start casting calls for someone else to get the role?

About Nat, maybe he wouldn't get in trouble for retweeting Vincent D'Onofrio's endorsement, but would Vincent get in trouble for trying to suggest he is. Since he's officially in the MCU, his NDA has an indefinite lifespan.

I suppose not, but he's not too bright to break his NDA with such glee as he's doing with this Twitter trend.

If i were marvel, i'd just talk to vince and tell him it's a no no. he just wants his voice to matter more and more and not that it doesn't, but right now he's still been acting as part of the mcu for a very short time.

He hasn't deleted his Tweet about Nat yet.

And even tweeted again about Nat as Spidey.
