garfield was a few years older than some of the other actors he competed with to get the spider role. the difference? he had the best and most convincing audition to the director.

that is the key thing here. and i'm not even saying whether this nat guy is a better or worse actor than o'brien. he may very well be better, but o'brien would STILL do the best job in the peter parker role.

just like how anne hathaway and tom hardy and idris elba are all phenomenal actors, but imo there could have been better ones to do their respective superhero roles.

i would go so far as to say that dylan o'brien as peter parker would make the best embodiment of a comic book superhero come to life, possibly on par with or surpassing downey as iron man/stark and hugh jackman as wolverine.[BLACKOUT]...and christian bale as batman. coz to me, he was the best.[/BLACKOUT]
