I've not seen Tom Holland in anything before other than pictures posted in that "shortlist".

Final contenders.

Peter and Harry, perhaps.

I'm fully on board with Tom Holland. Especially now that I've been made privy to his mole removal. :o

Peter and Harry, perhaps.

I've always had a very strong feeling that somehow Asa was going to land this role. even when I hated him for the role, I just know that he's going to book the part.

Tom may very well end up playing Harry if he doesn't get Peter, which is great, because I can easily see him as a Harry.

I guess if it's really down to those two, then I guess I would go with the Buttermilk. But man I am disappointed...

Didn't someone say that these things don't happen anymore? 2001 is a long time ago.

He got his mole removed?!

Here's a video with Tom Holland. He doesn't talk about Spider-Man in it, but we do get to hear his British accent:

And in this one he actually mentions S.W.O.R.D.

I was Team Asa, but now, I prefer Tom. I saw two movies (The impossible and How I live now, and he was really good). I follow him on Twitter like for one year, and he seems like a nice guy.

According to OM on here, Dane DeHaan auditioned for PP/Spidey and look who he ended up playing.

Not sure if there's any truth to that, but these things still happen from time-to-time.

Often times it happens when a director loves two choices so much that he/she has to include 'em in the film in some capacity.

But, he looks older than Dylan O'Brien! :oldrazz:

You...

*inserts funny gif which shows that I got the joke and salutes to you*

His priority is school. He wants to go to University, he said that acting is just one of his interests.

Sounds like Emma Watson. :)

I feel confident that unless Isaac stops acting entirely and focuses solely on his education, he'll start getting plumb movie roles eventually, just like Emma.

Of course, what he does with his life is entirely up to him, so only time will tell what ultimately happens. :)

Forget Dylan mate.
Fixed. :o

Tom would actually make a terrific Harry, but I'd be fine with him playing Peter.

And now here is the non-historian Tom Holland

I actually think the pitch of his voice is better for Peter Parker than Asa's. If he turned that into an American accent, it could sound more like some of the cartoon versions we've heard. The problem with Asa is that it's deep (as if it has just broken) and sounds rather dry and almost monotonous. I think Tom has a more musical voice, and given that it's a little higher pitched and melifluous, it might suit the rapid-fire wisecracking better than Asa's deeper voice.
