Ya if it's not dylan then really why has dylan changed so much in interviews last month or so. Vs past ones. Like others have said it follows others who denied things but was true.

I suppose he could just be feeling deflated and naturally not enthusiastic about Spider-Man anymore if he has been rejected, but trying to put on a brave face and saying he never even heard anything about it. Maybe it's better to say that he was never even in contention than to admit that he auditioned but failed.

But surely if someone has failed, they should be more forthright in saying that they didn't get the part. If it was simply that he was not in the correct age range, then it's not a reflection on himself in any way, and therefore nothing to be ashamed about.

Please be Dylan!.

Too bad we probably won't get the ugly ass TASM2 bug eyes again. :)

I honestly didn't realize TASM's eyes were the bigger ones...
In all honestly they weren't THAT much bigger than Maguires suit.
It's like a 1/3 vs 1/2 size ratio or something...

Actually I wouldn't mind that design minus the eyes. I'd like to see a smaller chest spider and a wider back spider for a change.

Well you never know, and think fans are probably reading too much into it and jumping to conclusions at this point. For all we know he could have auditioned and he hasn't heard back, he may have been turned down, he may have been considered months ago but is he is off the table, he may have the part but is trying to keep quite, or he was never really in the running, and now the fan reaction and internet rumors are everywhere and putting him in an awkward position.

He may want to work with Marvel eventually in some capacity and he doesn't wanna make any waves. It could be alot things.

If he tried and failed to get the part, I still think he'd have signed an NDA. Additionally, while he may try to keep a brave face about it, there's still Davis' Avengers remark and Tyler's knee pat after an audition remark that would have been in a bit poor taste under that circumstance.

Awww, looks like the twitter hype is dying. :/
rip
Where will the funeral be? Dress in black I assume?

Funeral for what?

But there are some idiots out there who would do that, even amongst so-called friends.

I don't believe it. They literally made DylanForSpiderman trend in under an hour. It's like literally the most collaborative fan thing...ever. I'm officially convinced the dude has the part. He definitely auditioned since he's been claiming to want to do so and be the character for quite some time. Unlike several other actors he's been quoted even before the 2017 reboot was announced wanting to be Spider-Man, way back to when Garfield was Spider-Man in TASM1.

If he loves the character as much as I'd assume he probably read the comics or at least a comic and portrayed the character to the best of his ability with all of his heart. I can easily see him having the role already. I'm completely convinced as so until stated otherwise.

And I'm just sitting here imagining Dylan's Spider-Man fighting Mysterio like "Yo, fishbowl come get me!" that's just...some orgasmic imagery right there

Dylan's delivery on quips towards villains would bring back humor to Spider-Man. I literally haven't laughed in any of the 5 Spider-Man movies. A smirk at best.

And sadly that's the key element thats been missing from both franchises
