The next Xbox

I don't have a Kinect and must admit as an Xbox fan...that this whole mandatory Kinect for next Xbox ..has me a little creeped out..

It's so worth it though. If I have the choice between Kinect or a non-Kinect game, it has to be really spectacular not to choose Kinect.

It does have its flaws at times about traveling on the menu but overall, it's mind-blowing.

I like the Kinect's concept&potential But I hate how much it's being used for casual crap games and how much MS is focusing on it.

I think it should just be used as a pure game accessory and for dashboard use than making games and adding more gimmicks to it,It should be used for scanning your face&body to create yourself or others(using pictures)for games

I think both of those and maybe a bit tighter on release date than "Holiday 2013". They need to give more solid stuff given their announcement is 2 MONTHS after Sony's.

I doubt Microsoft will reveal the price. Pricing pretty much has to be revealed at E3. That's very strategic information and they wouldn't want to fire that missile early, allowing Sony plenty of time to adjust.

Once they show the new model, it would be odd to talk about it in detail without getting around to price. It will be brought up, along with their projected release date. I just hope Microsoft "adjusts" to what their competitor was showing us already.

!?,Some of the"sources"have been right about PS4 But I sure hope they're completely wrong about their Xbox 3 info,I'm excited about PS4 and will be getting that at launch But I also want to get Xbox 3 at launch cause I'm more into MS/Xbox..Although lately(month or so)I've been getting tired of my Xbox or stop caring for it and playing my PS3 more.

Even from Microsoft's view, apart from Kinect, all of those are definite negatives that they wouldn't want released or rumoured ahead of time. It's as if the next XBox is almost worse than the current one with hardly any positives at all if you go solely off the main rumours that have been circulated so as always just wait for the official word in April or whenever before forming any real opinions on it. They've been keeping totally quiet on it (still haven't even confirmed that it exists) so while it's fun to speculate we still know nothing about it and even if all of those were true there might be things we could never think of (as with Sony's conference) that counteract/outweigh them. Otherwise their conference will be 5 minutes long just confirming the above and.. "Yeah we got nothing else to say. Our console's not good & we just charge you much more for everything. Get one on release day!" t:

Xbox may use watermarked discs:

MCV India spoke with Eidos' life president Ian Livingstone about the possibility of a digital-only gaming landscape. First, he addressed the plain fact that broadband Internet hasn't yet reached an install base high enough to justify getting rid of disc-based media wholesale. Then things got interesting.

“With the next Xbox, you supposedly have to have an internet connection, and the discs are watermarked, whereby once played on one console it won’t play on another," Livingston said. "So I think the generation after that will be digital-only.”

Well if I had to take a shot at it providing its true. They will probably ask the audience to turn around and bend over..... joking aside I seriously hope its not true... reminds me of the Battlefield 3 gimmick "buy a code". I refuse to play battlefield simply because of that.

Terry, do you not find it weird that DVD's are going the opposite direction of games. For example if I buy a DVD I can play it on any DVD player + digital copy to play on whatever device. Games want a stronghold and limit you,, just feels wrong. I feel I should have the right to play regardless of what xbox im putting my game into.

That would be terrible for disc games. I would have to stop buying anything day one, maybe digital if discounted and physical later just to have the box on my shelf. It's weird how nearly every rumour for Microsoft is negative though and the Sony ones like no BC & no carry over of prior digital purchases were kept under wraps till they could be drowned out by the new positives on Conference Day. Whatever the truth that is the better way to handle your dirty laundry. Imagine how those would have been received if leaked early.
