You mean Destroyer? The last episode of JLU?

Well, guess who's credited with talking for Darkseid...

It was indeed Ironside in every single appearance he made in the DCAU. He pitched his voice differently in JL and JLU than he did in STAS, but it was always him.Same guy.

K. Doesn't change the fact that my main point was that he sounded like s**t in Destroyer.

Was trying to defend him because I'm surprised that it was also him in Destroyer and not a diff actor. Was the only ep he sounded that bad.

He sounded pretty much the same in JLU as he did in previous episodes, just pitched slightly deeper. He was as awesome as always.

I'm getting real tired of you badmouthing my man, Ironside. :cmad:

I'm not knocking his appearances in JLU, just that last episode where Darkseid comes back and he has the new look and such...the voice is different from any other appearance of the character.

He didn't sound good in that episode.

You don't sound good in every episode! :cmad:

I've listened to his dialogue in those clips I posted above a couple times now to compare them side by side, and despite what you say, I don't notice much difference in his voice at all, let alone any sort of noticeable drop in quality. It's just a bit deeper.

I'm with Spike. I listened to both clips back-to-back, and Ironside's voice isn't even near the level of stark contrast as, say, Conroy when he first started doing BTAS and his Batman voice in the current media.

I agree with them. I haven't listened to a goddamn thing. I just love it when trusty is wrong.

I gotta side with trusty (god help me).

When I first watched the episodes, I was ticked that they weren't using Ironside. Then as it went on, I started wondering if it actually was him after all.

So there is a noticeable difference, and you're all just tone deaf.

I mean, at least it's not a comparison between Ironside and this guy (who I actually didn't mind too much, but he's no Mike):The difference between them is really noticeable, whereas I had to listen to those Ironside clips above more than once before I could really detect the slight difference in the pitch of his voice.

The only thing I noticed was that it was exactly the same actor as before, just with a touch more gravity in his voice. So I guess tone deafness equals pretty accurate hearing...?

Dork Knights #9 - He Didn't Even Lose A Limb!

In which the Dimwitted Duo once again ponder what it would take to win in a battle of two historical figures, forgoing the approach of evil vs. evil and instead matching up crazy vs. crazy, pairing might with right and awesome against
awesomeness. It's a duel to the death, and The Dork Knights are making it a recurring theme! Whoever wins, we lose. Bully!

THE BYRD WONDER... LEFT FOR DEAD?

THE DORK KNIGHT... GUNNING FOR HEADS?

IS THIS THE BITTER END FOR OUR HEROES?

Tune in to find out!

I recommend listening to this one. Instead of us jokers making fools of ourselves, Soze actually brings an amount of class and dignity to the program. Plus, he relives the infamous "LibrarianThorne" rant and the insanity behind Project Icarus. Awesome stuff.

Man, I had no idea that LT did all that. I really only knew the guy as a writer and had nothing but praise for him after working together when he played Superman in WoH.

Of course I heard a few things here and there after he left, but no one was really talking about it in any of the games I was in at the time. People were just oddly silent whenever the topic would briefly come up, so it's interesting to finally hear about what happened.

I always had such good talks with him on AIM. Lots of good feedback from him and we bounced ideas off each other.

I remember one time I invited him to come back to the games and that was shortly after I became an AGM of DC...**** hit the fan in the OOC thread with people like Keyser and twy and GL not wanting him back. None of you guys told me anything other than LT calling her a hack writer so I didn't realize it was as personal in the attacks as it was.

Hence I looked like the bad guy backing him up. :o
