My main problem and I just bought season 5 dvd is the quantity of kryptonite that is around. It would seem to me that the eaqsiest thing in the world would now be to obtain it. How is Superman ever a threat to any villain in this world especially when he goes public?

Does all the kryptonite disappear somehow because as it is just need to take a stroll in smallville to find some.

Not just that but Kryptonite gives everyone powers with almost no explaination. Like the ep Fragile. The guy controls glass and all it says is he was surround by glass when the meteor shower hit. How does that explain anything? And Kryptonite can be used to turn you invisble, bring you back from the dead, become super strong etc...

Kryptonite was always around in Smallville, it's essential for the show, if anything, there was much less in Season 5.

In ANY world, everybody knows that kryptonite can kill Superman, and Superman won't stay or live in Smallville lol.

I have an idea on how they could get rid of it. Once Lana knows about Clark, her and Chloe could start some sort of cleanup of all the kryptonite. They place it all in a big lead crate and then Clark tosses it into the sun. They just need to have missed a small piece or two (probably in Lex's possession) to keep the threat of it around.

I liked the idea of the clean up. Mabye the goverment start it because of all the harmfull effects it is causing in Smallville.

You make it sound like a simple easter egg hunt. Can they really recover all those green rocks?

Sure, they could have Clark tag along for the ride and every time he felt weak they would know there is some kryptonite around.

He'd be a living breathing metal detector. ;)

Seriously though, I dont think it would be that difficult. It is confined to Smallville.

Lex could also exhaust all of the supplies of Kryptonite, with his little experiments. He just holds on to enough of it, to make a nice shiny ring.

Its not confined to Smallville All the Kryptonite in the world did not just drop in Smallville

Yes they have China has Kryptonite or have we forgotten the witch arc already.

Plus using Clark to detect the Kryptonite? That sounds cruel....but funny

That was placed there by someone, it didnt fall in the meteor showers.

I said a a couple of pieces should be left behind to keep the threat there.

Do we know that for sure???????? I mean according to that show the crystal was placed there long before Clark coming to SV.

Yes. In season 3, someone made a comment about Kryptonians bringing Kryptonite with them - which created those wolf shapeshifters (can't remember what they were called). Don't ask why they brought Kryptonite. I'm guessing they must have been kept in lead cases or something.

The meteor shower directly hit Smallville which was made pretty clear in the show. The Kryptonians left the crystals and placed Kryptonite around it. Most likely to protect it from evil such as Zod. If you notice, Lex also had Kryptonite amongst the other artifacts in his vault that he found in Egypt where he uncovered the crystal. So yes, those were specifically placed there.

You bring up a good point, the cystals, what the **** is up with them. Kryptoninas have come to earth and saying another would come and the story of Namard. If they knew all this why didn't they save themselves, I never got that.

The thing is Kryptonite was not deadly to them until Krypton blew up. So why carry it around second how can you carry it around when Kryptoite is the planet Krypton????

Not here it appears that everything happens in Smallville. From what I am reading or what the fans have said all life happens in Smallville. I guess Smallville is giving NYC a run for its money.

dont be a dummy. The meteor shower that brought Clark to Earth was confined to Smallville. Unless you've got evidence on the show of them falling anywhere else? Didnt think so.

and where does it say it only fell in SV. Dont be an ass everyone knows it didn't just fall in SV. SV just got the most of it for the TV show

Lets just say for settlement that the majority of the meteor rocks fell on Smallville....

It's possible some residue or leftovers fell else where as it broke apart and entered our atmosphere (as seen by the shytty CGI opening in the pilot)

hubris, perhaps the most tragic of all the tragic flaws.

One thing I did find hard to swallow was the fact that Brainiac has the same powers as Clark. I don't get how he have them as he isn't a Kryptonian. He's a Kryptonian machine and how can a machine have heat vision and speed etc. I would be willing to believe he can have x-ray vision and super strength though...

If he's a machine, then doesnt that mean that he could have the capability to do anything that he was programmed to do?
