Dude, calm down. Why does it matter what we're talking about? This thread isn't dedicated to any one topic - it's just a venting thread. That means the subject is going to change depending on what pisses people off about Smallville. If you want to continue in a thread of discussion, bring it up again. Calm yourself, son.

The baby. Is that the one that Martha lost? You saw Clark have visions about it in Splinter. There was the cradle and their was a small boy running around that was about 3 or so.
So I dont think Clark has forgotten about it.
I never made any sort of connection that that was supposed to be Jonathan and Martha's miscarried child...I suppose it could be inferred from that evidence, though.
See, Season 5 is a sort of anomoly here. When Nell left, we heard nothing about her until Season 5, when we were told Lana spends Christmas with Nell, and I think at one point after the break-up Lana went to stay with her. Same with Pete - after he left, we didn't hear a thing about it past that episode until
Hidden, when Clark made a passing remark about Pete. If the vision in
Splinter was indeed about the baby, then that was the first they've actually referenced it since
Exodus.
These are a few exceptions - there are exeptions to any rule. But in general, this is another thing that frustrates me about Smallville - the willingness of the writers to drop secondary storylines completely.
Take for example Henry Small - true, Lana asked him to put their relationship on hold until Henry could get his marriage stuff worked out, but it's been like three years without so much as a mention. He doesn't necessarily have to show up, but they could at least reference it once in a while, because finding a long-lost father is kind of a big deal for it to be swept under the rug.
The baby? With the possible exception of the vision in
Splinter, it's been completely ignored. We know from
Pilot how much Martha wanted a baby. That wish was granted with the arrival of Clark, but when she discovers she's pregnant in Season 2 (
Fever, was it?), the whole family is obviously overjoyed. When she loses the baby in
Exodus everyone is rightly torn up, but that's the end of it. What do we hear about when Season 3 starts? Clark. That's it. She's apparently completely over the pain of being so close to finally having a biological child and losing it in just three months. That doesn't ring true to me.
Mrs. Teague? A lame story to be sure, but Lana
murdered her. Sure, she was under the infulence of Isabelle, but we know from
Commencement that it still affected her a great deal. That was a great opportunity for the writers to explore new territory - Lana's guilt over the murder, not to mention the fact that she kept it from Clark (and as far as we know has never told ANYONE but Lex), which makes all of her speeches about honesty in Season 5 moot. But nope, as soon as
Arrival was over, it was completely forgotten.
Okay, rant over.
