The Office Season 7 - - Part 1

the episode was ok but the season as a whole has been hit and miss. IT was kind of a slap in the face and pointless to the audience to have robert come in and shutdown the store and I really didnt get why they wanted too other then they wanted to remain online and over the phone. The show just seems to be sitting there and alot of the jokes are falling flat now.

Because Sabre products are **** and California acknowledges that if they had a store where people can test them before buying, sales will plummet.

True but then why waste time opening a store and waste 3-4 episodes on it to ultimately go nowhere? Im not nitpicking just simply asking the writers. Also why fire the VP and not the ugly chick?

It was explained in the episode. Jo Bennett (who as mentioned in an earlier episode remains most the prominent shareholder and chairman of Sabre's board of directors) is a big supporter of the project (probably due to her friendship with Nellie). Robert had to let it run its course and fail.

Furthermore, Nellie (the ugly chick) could not be fired because as explained when she interviewed for the regional manager job, she is a close friend of Jo (she speculates that she may be Jo's best friend, though she does not consider Jo to be hers). Her job was protected by Jo, therefore the VP was the scapegoat for wasting company time and resources on a failed project of that scale.

The people behind House were smart enough to know that this was really the time to throw in the towel. These folks should really get a clue as well. :o

I always admire show creators who end their series on their own terms rather than waiting for the network to cancel them.

The show is running on fumes right now.

You know, when i'm with people who see a commercial for "The Office" they usually say "That's such a stupid show"

These past episodes don't really change people's perception of this show

Was there any real wrap up with Jim and that girl who tried to get with him. I mean obviously they didnt get together, but after that build up it didnt really go past that 1 ep

but why the **** would she stay in Florida? That's the 3rd character who "stayed". Dwight, who came back. Erin, who will come back. And Kathy, who nobody really gives a **** whether she comes back or not.

That's another thing about Nellie, besides being a unlikeable, unfunny character, her voice is annoying and she is not even TV ugly - she's ugly.
But the current showrunner (Toby) is in love with her and whatever show she did in the UK.

Jim Carrey's cameo in last season's finale was awful. His recent guest spot on 30 Rock though was awesome.

Yeah, his Leap Day William movie was great.

I wouldn't go as far as to call it awful.... just a complete and utter waste of his talents and our time.

And also, awful. :o

And 40% of it was featured in the promo for the episode.

Hope there is some Leap Dave Williams deleted scenes on the 30 Rock DVD, he helped bring back 30 Rock to it's prime for one night.

"I know it doesnt sound cool. You just have to see it"

"I guess it doesnt look cool either"

LOL

Still watching it, but this episode is absolutely brutal.

Welp.

I hung in there as long as I could, but I think I'm done with The Office.

Nellie is way too unlikable. Please don't tell me she's joining the main cast.

the only part of tonight I liked was the single aside by Dwight about celery farmers. It was just so blunt and underplayed, especially for Dwight.

I kinda liked Robert's animal sex story too.

This is the first episode I've really understood where the rampant hate for Nellie comes from. I thought she was tolerable up until tonight.

That was the least funniest episode of The Office. Ugh.

Thankfully 30 Rock will air two episodes next week and The Office won't be back until April 12th.

The Robert California scenes were funny. Especially when you consider the underlying tone that Robert, for all his tough talk is terrified of Jo firing him so he is just catering to her friend. I have a terrible feeling that with Spader leaving, Tate will be staying on as the new CEO. If that is the case, I think I'm done with The Office.

Tate is by far the worst guest star to ever appear on the show.
