The Office Season 7 - - Part 2

I was surprised to hear that he and Holly have had multiple children. Granted, in the show's timeline, he's been gone for 2.5-3 years, but still...

Then again, I guess Holly doesn't have many baby-making years left at her age, so... best to get busy.

They didn't specify how many kids he had. Based on the time frame, it was probably two. Maybe three if two of his kids were twins, but I'd go with two.

the ending was perfect. this was seriously one of the best series finales to any show ever. they handled the characters perfectly and everyone got some closure.

it was nice to see Michael again. although it would have been nice to have Michael in that final scene in the office. have him visit just for old time's sake as he was already in town.

Also, the Office finale is the first time I have seen NFL QB Aaron Rodgers in autotune.

To be fair, did we really 'need' closure for Pete and Clark? They'll continue working in the Office and that's good enough for me.

This finale was about the rest of the characters…the one's we've been watching for 9 years. Not the two kids that were barely interesting by comparison.

Having said that, I did feel bad for Toby.

And to be fair, Meredit isn't really the type of character that warrants closure. There was no real arc for her over the course of the series. Michael, Dwight, Jim, Pam, Angela, Oscar, Andy, Erin, Darryl... Those guys had arcs, and it was good that they found closure in the finale, or at least something resembling closure. Meredith's not really one of those types of characters. Granted, I'd put Creed and Kevin in the same class as her and they got a tiny sense of closure, but with Meredith, it's like... whether it's been 10 minutes, 10 days or 10 years, you know that (regardless of that degree she was talking about), she's going to be the one putting vodka in a water bottle and taking a dump in a paper shredder. And that's okay.

I don't know how I forgot after watching it the first time, but Toby actually did get closure. Remember when they left the wedding and they were talking about going to the after party at the warehouse? Toby said he was just going to call it a night (typical Toby, being a downer), but everyone was like "no, Toby, you have to come!" basically cheering on Toby to join the fun. He smiled and agreed. It was like for the first time, he realized that these people did actually like him and they were his friends.

Yup, it was a small moment but it was there.

Same with Meredith, the revelation that she got a degree in school psychology showed there was a little more to her than we realized. But she's still the same ol' Meredith.

Damn, it was just such a satisfying finale. I haven't stopped thinking about it. Really makes me want to go back and re-watch the whole series soon.

Knowing Michael, he went to an adoption agency with a discount coupon, and came back with three kids of different races, including an Indian girl to remind him of Kelly Kapoor (the girl is Cherokee of course).

Given the state of the series was in, they did the best they could. A satisfying series finale. The show will be missed, when they hit their creative peak in season two/three this show was fantastic. Had a finale party and watched some classic episodes, just about any from season two or three would work - essentially like The Simpsons in their prime.

I just watched the whole season in about 2-3 nights and man it was incredible. I am a fan of this show good and bad because even at its worst, I'm looking at you season 8, it was still better than 9/10ths the crap that usually gets put out on an annual basis. The Finale made me cry, only BSG and Friends has made me do that. This show has moved me in so many ways I can't count them and I owe the cast a great deal because this show gave me courage and has allowed me to do things I wouldn't normally had. Thank you Dunder Miflin for all your memories and for keeping it real.

I cried too man. But ****ing everything makes me cry. I cried like 5 times during the Lost finale, no joke. After all that time you get so emotionally invested I think if you don't have at least some sort of reaction your empathy circuits are ****ed up lmao

After watching a show for years you're emotionally connected to the story even if the characters are fictional. Especially on LOST, for me at least.

Its hard to me to watch the final scene of the Friends finale…only because in literally the last shot as they walk into the hallway and the stroller enters the screen, you can totally tell that Monica and Chandlers twins are plastic dolls.

Might be fake but damnit it's those characters that make me cry. Shows that run 10 years or beyond are something special, they resonate in ways that can't be understood at times.

Two somewhat unnecessary seasons at the end? Pfft. Big deal. When The Simpsons finally closes up shop, it's once great legacy will be tarnished by an extra decade and a half of mediocrity or worse.

does Simpsons even do good ratings anymore? I don't know if I have watched an episode in the last decade that wasn't a Treehouse of Horror, and I've only watched a couple of those

Season 8 was definitely the worst but for me, the show started going downhill after season 4. So ending the show was a long time coming. But that's just my opinion. If it were up to me, every show would have 5 seasons, maybe 6 max.

Am I the only one who thinks it sucks that Michael's cameo was leaked? Imagine how awesome it would've been to go into the finale completely convinced that Michael Scott wasn't going to show up.

I personally was expecting Jim to make Mose Dwight's best man, so the timing of it was a really pleasant surprise (plus I thought that I'd already seen Michael very briefly in the audience of the Q&A and that would be his cameo). But going in and having it be completely unexpected would've been magical. The internet has ruined a lot of things.

Not really. I guess it kinda spoiled it but I also didn't go into the finale pissed off that Michael wouldn't reappear. I didn't expect Michael to show up when he did so I was still surprised. I thought it was going to be Mose or Dwight's other weird cousin, maybe even his father if I had more time to think about it.

I didn't know about the leak. I went in completely convinced he wasn't going to show up. But as soon as Jim said he found someone else to be best man I knew it had to be Michael.
