The Office Season 7 - - Part 2

I didn't know it was leaked. I had a feeling he would show up though...

I knew Michael showed up and it was slightly ruined for me but I still enjoyed it. It's Michael ****in' Scott, nothing but smiles when I hear that name.

Am I the only one who thinks it sucks that Michael's cameo was leaked? Imagine how awesome it would've been to go into the finale completely convinced that Michael Scott wasn't going to show up.

I personally was expecting Jim to make Mose Dwight's best man, so the timing of it was a really pleasant surprise (plus I thought that I'd already seen Michael very briefly in the audience of the Q&A and that would be his cameo). But going in and having it be completely unexpected would've been magical. The internet has ruined a lot of things. :(
leaked? It was a given. Who in their right mind honestly didn't expect to see him? I mean, really?

Rewatching the entire series. Already up to Grief Counseling

I swear it always seems like I find threads where my comment is the last one lol. Anyways, just started season 8. Forgot how weird the transition to post-Michael feels but I gotta say, I've loved the entire series a lot more this go around. I will say that the show's descent into idiocy and madness was a long time coming. You can see the seeds planted in the first couple seasons and then in season 4 some of the real weirdness starts to come in but it's still consistently funny and good all the way up through season 6. Season 7 was when the real dumb stuff started coming in but still there are a ton of great things still in play and tons of hilarious moments. I feel like Kevin isn't as stupid this go around too for some reason. Even in season 7 he was still cunning enough to rip off Andy and Darryl playing Dallas. Overall I love this series even more now knowing how it ends and everything. Watching shows week to week is a completely different experience than just running through them really quickly. I find that I usually like shows more when I watch them like that as opposed to week to week. Although the feelings were different for my rewatches of BSG and Lost. I liked them more week to week because of all the theorizing. Lol sorry for rambling, lots of coffee this morning

Considering that none of the pilots with any of The Office castmembers got picked up, I wonder if we might see them guest star on other stuff this season. Particularly Parks and Rec, since that's by alot of the same people.

They might. If they ever want to cast someone for an episode on a recall election opposite Amy Poehler, Leslie David Baker would be a good choice.

That would be awesome if Creed showed up. I just finished my rewatching the series, liked a lot of it more just runnin through them as opposed to week to week.

I find that the weaker seasons definitely play better that way. As it was airing, Michael's final season wasn't a favorite of mine until Holly showed up again, but watching the S7 DVD, I quite enjoyed the whole thing.

Man I quite enjoyed it all. Seasons 5-9. It's obvious when they started the Flanderization of certain characters but overall this show was brilliant through and through. There were even a few things I totally forgot about in the end. I did forget Michael only had like 3 lines in the finale but I think that was perfect for him. God I ****ing miss this show so much now. I have no idea what I'm gonna do with my thursdays now. Can't believe they didnt pick up The Farm given their lack of a lineup this year

Well duh! Nobody plays Creed Bratton and gets away with it. Last person to do this? Creed Bratton

Wait, wut? Seth Rogen auditioned for Dwight? John Cho auditioned for Jim?!

Bob Odenkirk's Michael isn't all that bad! John Cho's Jim wasn't either. He actually seemed to do a pretty good job with it. Obviously, no one but Krasinski could play the role in retrospect, but Cho wasn't too shabby, nor was Adam Scott.

Odenkirk even played a Michael knockoff in the last season, if I remember correctly.

It's hard to imagine anyone else in those roles, but the only one that really wasn't doing it for me was Judah Freidlander. It's like he wasn't even trying.

Yep. One of the few good moments of the final season.

Yeah, his nonchalant style just didn't work for Dwight. I wasn't crazy about Rogen's Dwight either. Honestly, it is hard for me to envision anyone but Wilson as Dwight. He just brought so much intensity to the role.

I was in the neighborhood and thought I would drop by and see some old friends. Oddly, nobody I knew was there... pic.***********/oXJ8lq1de1”

A few people I follow on Twitter have pointed out how ahead of his time Michael Scott is in the age of Trump and they're right. Honestly, take away the moments of genuine heart from the character and leave the gloriously, hilariously stupid one-liners and at least 80% of those would fit. "I'm not superstitious... but I am a little stitious"? I could read that he said that in a press conference on Twitter and I would completely buy it.

"I hate so much about the things that you choose to be." - Donald J. Trump (Michael G. Scott)

At first I was going to say, "Come on, guys. Don't ruin Michael Scott." but then I pictured Trump saying "Pizza. Great equalizer. Rich people love pizza, poor people love pizza, white people love pizza, black people love pizza....do black people love pizza?" and now I can totally see it.

"I want people to be afraid of how much they love me" is pure Trump and no one can tell me any different.
