The Official 24: Day 7 Thread /spoilers/

Yeah, the floor is dirty and he's freakishly tall. I liked how he locked the door from inside and jumped out.

I think a good finish could handle whatever qualms people have, if it goes well.

My only issue with the scene is that I've never seen an airport restroom that empty. Of course it's 5 or 6 am, so I at least understand how it can be.

Season 4 started off better than any other season. Within 6 hours the secretary of defense had been kidnapped, Jack raided a terrorist compound with a Navy Seal team, and Navi Araz had proven to be one of the most bad ass and vicious villains in 24 history. And it even continued, but once Air Force One was blown up it was all down hill. Each episode was Habeeb Marwan barely escaped from Jack and CTU agents. They needed a better villain to replace Marwan once they took him out of play. Seasons 1, 3, 5, and even 7 are better in my opinion because it is a never ending series of twists and turns.

I agree. Marwan constantly escaping FBI really got annoying and I think that's one of the reasons Season 4 rates so low for me. Not to mention that it had the most obvious case of a plot point being left hanging with Behrooz being taken by the terrorists and then being completely forgotten about. Maybe it's just me, but spending so much time on a character and then just forgetting him is just the most annoying thing a show can do. Even if I hate a character, I rather he or she have some sort of conclusion so I don't feel like all the episodes with that character were just a waste of show time. I also didn't think a lot of the new cast members were given enough character development as they show eventually went back to the old cast and focused more on them. It took me until Season 5 to really give a damn about characters like Bill or Edgar. The beginning was definitely great though.

I didn't start watching full time until the night I saw Jack Bauer shoot his mentor's wife in the leg. Then I knew I should be watching this show. So I'mma have to go with Season Five for that alone.

Between Bierko, Graem (pre-Jack's brother revelation), Henderson and Logan season 5 had the best villains in the show's run and the most suprises (anyone who claims to have known Logan was a villain is just a straight out liar). That makes it the best season to me.

Agreed...Logan was such a helpless, useless wreck that it was impossible to imagine him as a bad guy

No love for season 2? It's my personal fav.

its been a long time since I've seen Season 2....i put seasons 3-5 down mostly because i've just recently seen them again....Season 2 was the first season I began watching 24 on a regular basis...

Once Jack was in Mexico I thought the season was top notch.

I thought Season 3 was kinda consistent....the stuff with the sallazar's was good, imo, especially with the prison break...then we get to the saunder's half, jack shooting ryan, saunder's daughter, tony betraying CTU, etc. I also like the fact that they killed both nina and sherry....

Season 2 might have ranked the second highest for me were it not for Kim's subplot. She tried her hardest to drag that season down. I still love it since because it had such a great cast of characters and a great story, but then again...the cougar scene. :csad:

And I liked Season 3 before Jack went to Mexico, but it was everything from that point on that made it my second favorite season.

The Kimnapping could be worthwhile if they kill her...

story-wise, that is. I could see Jack going nuts over that.

And what the hell was Tony having done to Jack?

I've only worked out two possible scenarios in my head.

1) Extracting blood or w/e to be able to piece together the bio weapon again since that's all there was of it and they never had the components, just the weapon.

2) Curing jack and holding Kim hostage while they set up another attack for season 8 and force Jack to commit it and frame him for it the way they tried to do with the Muslim guy.

I was thinking the same thing. Maybe Tony is trying to get the Virus out of Jack so he could use it.

I thought of it...but to be able to form it into a weapon and drop it on the city...it'd have to lead to next season.

Didn't they say they were going to spend 6 months or something working on the virus before Tony convinced them to use it that morning?

So, it hit me today that jack has had a love interest in almost every season of the show (I dunno if you could count renee or not), which leads me to ask: what do you think of jack's love interests so far? Any favorites? least favorites? Audrey or Teri?

I always liked um...Kate, that's her name.

I really liked Kate Warner and I liked Audrey thanks to Season 5. I'm not sure which I would rank higher though.

It's kind of odd to call Kate a love interest, since there was really none of that interaction during the season. The only thing that makes it a relationship at all is that one 30 second scene during season 3 and the video game.

Anyway, she'd still probably be my favorite. Wish she would've had more than one season.

I liked Audrey. Even though I think she had somehow had 3 or 4 different lovers appear onscreen with Jack included.

I wouldn't count Renee, to be honest. I would say she was Larry's.

ive only seen this season and last season. and i must say last season was very stupid. but i like this season.

i think all 24 seasons go to long though. they cram so much stuff into each season. id rather a quality 12-15 1 hour episodes, rather than like 20 episodes with the only parts mattering are the last 15 minutes of each ahha

Go rent any of seasons 1-5... no filler (more or less) in those seasons.

I thought this was very telling...

Question: News on Tony and the "24" finale? --Aaron
Ausiello: One of the slots in my Season Finale Scorecard is reserved just for him. Can you guess which one? Speaking of Tony, the evil *****e was the topic of conversation at Tuesday's finale screening in Hollywood. Kiefer Sutherland admitted that Carlos Bernard wasn't expecting fans to hold him personally accountable for his character's actions. "Two episodes in he started getting hate mail," he said. "Then he started getting the hate phone calls. It made him a little nervous." For his part, Bernard views Tony as a victim. "I don’t perceive Tony as evil. He's gone through really traumatic events. He's a damaged individual. He's a guy who doesn't trust anybody anymore, feels abandoned and feels he has to take matters into his own hands." Exec producer Jon Cassar urges viewers to reserve judgment until after Monday's finale. "I know right now they are kind of upset that he's bad, but it all kind of becomes clear in episode 24. We really wanted [the season] to end with Tony and Jack, and that's how it's going to end." Fellow e.p. Howard Gordon was slightly less apologetic. "If people are disappointed or don't like [how Tony's arc is resolved], too bad." (Make that a lot less apologetic.)
