This is a continuation thread, the old thread is [split]377447[/split]
nope, it is you have not addressed the petinant points I made in my initial posts concerning this, i *have* already addressed all of this...
ie the true original Peter Parker/Spider-man was an unpopular kid who was estranged from the social scene of his peers, and never got the girl...that is why he used his powers for fame and fortune when he got them, just as in AF15 with the wrestling and tv stardom, and in SM1 with the wrestling to win money....and then he learns to be a hero and accept responsibility once he lets the pursuit of fortune get in the way of justice, and someone close to him is killed as a result.
Also, he only gets the girl and becomes a more social person, *once* he has got the powers and accepted his superhero role.
in this one, it seems to be that once he gets his powers, he pretty much right away decides to use his powers to fight criminals, by 'trying to do something the police can't'.
Whether or not he also tries to make a buck from wrestling is besides the point, he's also already decided to become a crimefighter too.
the origin is now very different
the character's journey is different
the character is different...
Who cares? The origin is A BIT different. Same concept. Same Peter, maybe a few background changes.
Drop it. Seriously. Who cares? The movie will probably be good.
haha, this is so ironic, for months I have had to listen to people like you Troy, talking crap about the Raimi Spider-man, and saying that this reboot will be portraying the 'spider-man we all know and love', meaning, the *real* spider-man, and now it has been revealed to not be the case at all, you want me to shut up about it.
Listen man, these things happen, accept it. =)
I'm starting to see why people consider you annoying.
I don't hate Raimi's Spider-Man, so... yeah.
Anyways, shouldn't your "argument" belong in the nitpick thread? Because you're clogging this thread up.
And again, you're completely missing the point, which is making repeating myself a very annoying task.
Both instances are a misuse of power. Can we please move on now? Or at least take your crap to the nitpick thread so I can ignore you.t:
And what the **** are you talking about? "These things happen"? You seem to be the one with a problem accepting minor alterations. You've derailed an entire thread because of it. :S
Derailed a thread? Dude we were talking about info that was revealed in the two trailers, important stuff.
what, you mean, like when Spider-man annoys his enemies by winding them up a little with some home truths?
Derailed a thread? Dude we were talking about info that was revealed in the two trailers, important stuff.
Looks like all the fight has been knocked out of the haters.
Well, you can take comfort in the fact that the ever amazing Spider-man welcomes one and all, he is not a malicious person who holds grudges.
This wholed thread has turned into one big argument over someone voicing there honest opinion, which this thread is meant for: voicing your opinion.
Yeah I don't really think that's the case here anymore. Sounds more like someone being a troll just to get a rise out of people.
EDIT: I'm glad I'm not the only one who sees that, mayo23.
Or, voicing my opinion, but when someone can't handle my opinion, they get cheeky with me, and I take it in my stride with a little humour.

How about that Gwen Stacy/George Stacy thing? Do you think George will die in this movie?
I'd say so.
You have been attempting to wind me up for quite a while now on these boards with all your smart ass comments. You lose this battle Troy, accept it.
The real Peter Parker/Spider-man is in our hearts.
wait is he Jesus now...."Yeah he did some time and found Spider-man"
