One of the reasons BP is such an exciting character is, like Cap, he's an enhanced human so you can't just CGI his abilities. That's one of the reasons that 'Winter Soldier' and the Cap scenes from 'Ultron' are so engaging-- The physical stunts are much more tactile and interesting than just CGIing a cartoon Ultron fighting a cartoon Iron Man.

Boseman is the actor who seems to take the secrecy thing most seriously of all the MCU cast, aha. He's so tight lipped about everything. Feige must have been pretty severe with his warnings :oldrazz:

Chadwick Boseman offers up details about Black Pather in Captain America: Civil War as the actor spoke with Total Film magazine.

Describing Black Panther:

He has the dual activity of being a monarch of a country, and he's literally a detective. I think he's a misunderstood character because he makes decisions sometimes without consulting other people [laughs], without working as a team. It's very hard to predict why he does what he does.

How much do we see Black Panther in Civil War:

I don't feel like you'll have a deep sense of the character because it's a brief introduction. It leaves a lot to be explored. You want the character to have an arc, but I think there's a lot you don't know about him at the end of the movie.

How Black Panther is introduced in Civil War:

He is brought into the story because there are Wakandans who are the victims of the tragedy that happens because of the superheroes. So he's brought in really as a political [figure], and he's useful. It's not really as a superhero. He fits that whole theme of the movie.

The Wakandans know who he is. It's like his, purpose is to protect his country. It's not necessarily to protect everyone [laughs]. He's not that type of superhero. He has a singular purpose in that respect when he's coming into this movie.

Chadwick Boseman will also be starring in the upcoming Black Panther standalone movie that has a February 16, 2018 release.

Black Panther Director Ryan Coogler Helped With the Character in Civil War

Not only does Captain America: Civil War tell the story of Captain America, his pal Bucky, and how the Avengers are split over government control, it introduces two major new heroes. There’s Spider-Man, of course, and Black Panther. And the latter is already being shaped by his very own filmmaker.

Marvel announced a few months back that Ryan Coogler, the director of last year’s hit Creed, is going to be directing the Black Panther solo movie, which hits theaters February 2018. His seat in the Marvel Cinematic Universe came well into production of Civil War, where Panther was being introduced, but Marvel is so filmmaker-driven, it let Coogler in to see if he had any suggestions.

“Ryan came in and watched the movie,” Marvel Studios President and Civil War producer Kevin Feige told io9. “We did a little bit of additional photography here and there and Ryan did a pass at a couple of those scenes. So there’s a line or two that Panther says in the movie that Ryan contributed to. [Civil War screenwriters] Chris [Markus] and Steve [McFeely] absorbed it into their draft, put their spin on it and words to it, but Ryan has started to be involved in earlier cuts of this movie.”

Black Panther, starring Chadwick Boseman and directed by Coogler, hits theaters February 16, 2018. He’ll debut in Captain America: Civil War on May 6.

This goes up there in costume godlihood along with mcu spidey and the batfleck suit.

The black is so intense in the B roll, even more than in the teaser.

Spider-Man and Black Panther both have the coolest costumes in Civil War. Figures, beginners luck, lol! :sus

I need a batsuit made like that.

Gorgeous.

Vision and BP just looks straight up fantastic. Marvel nailed it design wise.

Lets see that fight again when BP puts his armour on!

[BLACKOUT]I mean, the fight isn't over, T'Challa took a shot in the chest from Bucky's metal arm and got right back up, then went right back after him. [/BLACKOUT]

+1
Looks like "Challenge accepted!" to me.
Awesome introduction for him even without being dressed up.

I'm a BP noob and I was going to wait until after the movie because I like going in not knowing much about him, but is he really enhanced like Cap? Did he get injected with serum too?

I always thought he was just a King who had an unlimited supply of Vibranium but was more or less, like Bruce Wayne in that he wasn't a superhuman or anything.

He consumes some special herbs and also has some spiritual energy
