it's too bad that they used her for Elektra because Jennifer Garner probably could have made a convincing Black Widow imo. she has those hard features that i always attribute to the lady.

i heard somewhere that Halle Berry is going to play her. apparently, someone saw the name 'Black Widow' and immediately thought of Halle and what a good job she did on Catwoman. tongue in cheek.

Beckinsale can speak Russian according to her IMDb profile and Van Helsing was pure trash to begin with.

Why not Kate Beckinsale? At least Kate can speak Russian (that's one reason she got into Oxford) so she's not that bad a pick.

Rebecca Romijn-Stamos on the other hand would kill this movie. Her work in Rollerball was rancid. She can't pull off a Russian accent to save her life.

BTW, my number one pick is still Evangeline Lilly. Lilly's career is on the rise which could give BW a better chance for a successful franchise.

Pretty rediculous you bash Rebecca Romijn's acting and ignore Evangeline's. Rebecca was in a horrendously bad movie and her acting wasn't close to as bad as it. Evangeline is the worst actor clearly on a fantastic show however, and you won't find too many critics who disagree with that clear and obvious assessment. Also, due to her lost contract, she probably can't die her hair, even in hiatus. I'm not into having the Widow in a wig.

Because that's the most important factor...not acting skill, nah, that's be daft.

Face it, she's actually quite rubbish. Pearl Harbor, Van Hellsing, Underworld....she's the kiss of death for genre movies.

She's also got some of the most overrated looks in Hollywood. She looks like the brunette Bush daughter with coconut halves bolted under her chest

That would have been typecasting at it's worst. Her Alias character might as well be an American version of Black Widow. Atleast Elektra's origins are more mystical orientated and not government agent.

Evengeline Lilly is a natural redhead, dude.

The Razzie's overwhelmingly make their "pick's" based on whatever will get them the most press and more on the movie than the performance, which is why you never hear them "nominating" small films that few people have heard of and extremely rarely if ever nominate people from great movies.

The fact that Evangeline was nominated for 2 awards that noone has ever heard of (one of them being a sci-fi type of award organization) when she's the lead actress in the best new show to come along in years only reenforces my argument. Award organizations people have heard of (Emmy's, SAG, Golden Globes) genuinely can't give nominations away fast enough to whatever lead actress is on a show the caliber of which Lost belongs too, but she never even received nomination buzz. Name a worse actor playing a regular (other than the black kid) on the show. A case could be made that Josh Holloway is as bad as her, which is probably why the episode most involved with the 2 of them was the worst of the series.

Evangeline being a natural redhead really has nothing to do with the argument I was making. She's a brunette on Lost, Kate has Brown hair. It's extremely doubtful that the show would allow her to do a role which requires her to alter her appearance like that. I know of people on alot of different shows playing characters who aren't stuck on a desert Island who have to maintain the same hair and general appearance.
