BvS The Official BvS IMAX event! Everything happens on it!

Oh hell yes, I noticed. Even the high quality encode of the trailer that WB released doesn't do it justice. Not even in the slightest.

Agreed seeing this on IMAX twice blows away the online version.

Just got back from the event. If anything, it's convinced me to see this movie in IMAX. And I wish I hadn't seen the official trailer before seeing it in the theater.

Can't wait to get my advanced screening pass!

Just got back from the event. Man that was awesome.

Seeing the rain scene in native IMAX and a new exclusive scene in native, was just sick.

The iMax did clear one thing up for me though is our first shot of Batman in the abandoned building is his in the mechanical suit during the fight or before or after the fight with Superman.

Happy to hear that fans were blown away by the resolution of native IMAX. I was convinced that BvS trailer will be seen in entirely different light in IMAX.

Outside of short documentaries/nature program there are not many film scenes shot in native 70mm IMAX - it's still a gold standard in resolution since 1980 at least for me. I first saw it in 1980 at Ontario's Cinesphere 80 feet screen, a documentary about space shuttle launch and installation of a robotic arm. The resolution, size and sound in the dome blew me away, still umatched so far in my IMAX experience.

The trailer looked so amazing in IMAX, especially the opening scene. Every detail. Every effect. I'm glad I got that pass for next year.

Great IMAX screening of the teaser trailer for 'Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice'!

It looked absolutely magnificent on the ultra large screen. The colors are so vibrant and bold. The scene with Superman's statue (False God) is a indeed a memorial wall dedicated to the lives lost during the Metropolis battle!

This special screening showed the teaser twice with an added 5 seconds after the title appears! It shows Superman and Batman charging at one another in full force (and with fists drawn) then collide. It was brilliant!!!

They handed out 2 FREE posters and everyone who attended the screening will receive a FREE pass to see the movie (in IMAX) ONE WEEK BEFORE ITS RELEASE!!

The posters are so much cooler in person than just viewing an online version

Meaning when you see that first shot of Batman holding something and people thought it was the crowbar that killed Jason, etc. Really after seeing that in IMAX that part takes place during or after his fight with Superman.

Just got home. Bigger than I thought they'd be. I got 4 of them. 2 of each:

I wrote this on Tumblr, but I putting it here as well.
These are my takeaways from the Batman V. Superman IMAX Event:
Larry Fong and Zack Snyder are Gods
These two teaser posters are so so beautiful OMG
Very cool fan service from Zack Snyder and Warner Bros.
I GET TO SEE THE MOVIE A WEEK EARLY!!!!!!!!!!!! In true, 70mm IMAX!!!!
The moment Batman and Superman meet on screen is going to be an epic moment in cinematic history.
The HD online version doesn’t do it justice. Seeing it on the biggest screen possible is like a whole other experience. You guys have to see this movie in IMAX when it comes out. I can’t stress it enough.
The ‘extra’ moment that was promised? It’s about 6 seconds, but holy ****!

Got it. Thanks for the info. :D

How does Batman 'charge' Superman?

When Supes hits the ground, it went straight to a close-up of Cavill's face, he grimaces and then twists his body like he's going to sprint. It follows Cavill on ground level and then pans over to Batfleck taking off in his mechanical suit like a bull and right before they collide, Supes ever so slightly lifts off the ground.

This movie is going to look way, way different than MoS. It's a stylized piece of art IMO.

He loses a game of chicken. doh!

Just got to my theater (SF Metreon)

I'd say there's probably about 80 people here so far so it looks like I'm good. I got here about an hour and 10 before it starts. :D

Was I the only one that noticed the[BLACKOUT] little 'S' curl[/BLACKOUT] when Superman landed? :yay:
