Great IMAX screening of the teaser trailer for 'Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice'!

It looked absolutely magnificent on the ultra large screen. The colors are so vibrant and bold. The scene with Superman's statue (False God) is a indeed a memorial wall dedicated to the lives lost during the Metropolis battle!

This special screening showed the teaser twice with an added 5 seconds after the title appears! It shows Superman and Batman charging at one another in full force (and with fists drawn) then collide. It was brilliant!!!

They handed out 2 FREE posters and everyone who attended the screening will receive a FREE pass to see the movie (in IMAX) ONE WEEK BEFORE ITS RELEASE!!

Dude... Were you at the Lincoln Square IMAX? I think I saw you take that picture.

Clear something up for me... I thought the woman in charge of giving out info on the line outside said an early showing in February?

Amazing event. Worth the 45 minute drive during traffic to the theater! Definitely a holy **** moment at the end! Also, Superman rocks the spit curl, lol.

Went to get something to eat after the screening so I just got back.

Theater was about 3/4 of the way full here in St. Louis. This was my first time seeing anything in IMAX and I have to say, I was impressed. The trailer looked so much better and more vibrant than on my computer screen.

I assume everyone knows by now about the extra 5 seconds of BM and SM charging at each other. It looked to me like SM was knocked backwards at first, then he gets his feet under him, and starts charging back. Then we cut to BM in his armor who starts charging at SM and then it stops when they are about to collide. It definitely looked like a panel from DKR the way their bodies were positioned. Totally sweet.

Still no sign of Wonder Woman. I guess she is being reserved for future trailers..

At my screening, when the trailer was over and everything was all quiet, some guy yelled, "What about Wonder Woman?" and the whole theater laughed. It doesn't sound as funny as it was haha.

I heard the WB exec say the total count was 250-255.

In the original comic superman has just been in a nucleur explosion and is depleted of energy. He has slowly started to recharge but it is night and not getting much sunlight.

Batman is able to go toe to toe with him in his mechanised Batsuit because Superman is way below normal srtength.

it is possible a scenario similiar to this has happened before their encounter

So, the trailer footage looks absolutely amazing in IMAX. I watched it like 20 times over the weekend and was still blown away by it at the theater. Got my sweet set of swag posters but most importantly......I GET TO SEE THE WHOLE MOVIE FOR FREE, 1 WEEK EARLY NEXT YEAR!:woo::woo::woo:

I'm disappointed I wasn't able to snag a ticket. I managed to get in to both the Dark Knight and Dark Knight Rises prologue screenings, but it figures the one I miss is the one where they actually gave away advance screenings to the final film, haha.

Did you see it in Real IMAX? That'll happen. :D

Oh yeah! Even though I've seen the trailer 100 times, it was so much better in IMAX. Plus it was the first time my Mom and Dad saw the trailer, the ride after my kept saying "do you bleed?" . :funny:

I forgot to mention that. That will be awesome to get to see it early. I'm even more psyched for it now. :woot:

That final shot was really powerful. You can see the frustration and anger in Superman's eyes. He's clearly having his ass handed to him up to that point. And then to see them charging was like a childhood dream.

I can't believe we've waited this long to see these two characters together on the screen. Zack and Larry Fong are making it look as monumental as it feels.

Did they hand out a free pass now? or is it sent digitally....because if they had given the pass now people will sell it for $$$

No. You wrote your e-mail address on the back of that "ticket" pictured above and turned it in. They will e-mail your passes next February or March.

I went (Celebration Cinema North & IMAX), got both posters and got a free screening. The trailer looks majestic on the big screen, the small screen doesn't do it justice (no pun intended).

Pretty good. That shot of Batfleck looking up in the rain is a thing of beauty. Kryptonite? Hazzard, aside from the charging scene at the very end, it's basically the same trailer you already saw.

Ah okay. I hear Snyder might never have that shot for the coming trailers but that would be such HYPE.

No signs of Kyrptonite, but I have a feeling it's going to rear its head in that scene. :D

As for the Armored Batsuit? Your husband and my Lord was rockin' it. Looked absolutely great.

:atp: Man I wish I could have seen that extra scene. Especially sups pissed off face. The descriptions were getting me excited enough. I can only image actually seeing that.

So, what do we think is going to happen after Batman and Superman's fists meet?

Does Batman have a trick up his sleeve, or does he go flying?

Nope. They literally just ran at eachother. Superman wasn't even using superspeed.

Close-up on a pissed off Superman who appears to be getting up
Medium-shot of Superman running to the right of camera
Medium-shot of Batman running to the left of camera
Long-shot (profile) of Superman running from the left an Batman from the right and collide in the middle on the cut

I have a feeling the fix was in by then. Batman had already used the Kryptonite on Superman. That's why Superman fell to the ground and wasn't running at super-speed (he was loosing his powers). The question and quote "Do you bleed?.. You will!" has a meaning, guys and gals.

Considering how cocky he is, I assume he has a trick up his sleeve. I also think that Superman is underestimating him too.

Snyder just tweeted his thank you to everyone who attended the event.
