I honestly see it finally holding in the 70% range. As of now they seem to be cherry picking the negative reviews (I don't know how RT works, but they're doing a better job of finding the bad reviews than I am), so eventually I think the large amount of positive reviews will overwhelm the suspiciously negative tomatometer and hold at, like I said, somewhere in the 70%. Hopefully.

Were back at 60% on RT. 12 positve, 8 negative.

I think most Moviegoers look at their local movie critics or syndicated reviewers in their local print media.

My assumption is the reviews need submitted to them by the author or host site. So, the negative ones are just the ones sending them the link to their review much more quickly.

Back to 60%, LOL! This is like the stock market :oldrazz:

Hopefully Godman is gone. I don't feel like trolls today :o

It is odd that the RT % is 58, but the average is 7.2. That says something about the positive vs negative reviews. The negative reviews seem to say it is average or just bad, but some of the positives are very glowing reviews. Doesn't seem like anyone is giving it a 1 or anything.

that's because not all the reviews rate the movie on a numerical scale. I saw earlier 3 or 4 of the negative reviews didn't have a number so RT can't use it in determining that number.

Just hope it stays over 60%.

well the Fresh/Rotten aspect of rottentomatoes is just to answer the GA most basic question "is it good or not ?", I don't think an answer like "well 72% of the critics liked it" would matter to them. Rottentomatoes is a GA audience-friendly website, but I don't know if he's known from casual movie goers that much ...

He went back to his troll cave :D Not only did he say it would re main rotten but now it has been fresh twice! :p

not sure if it's been posted yet

Pretty much what I expected from marvel, for better or worse.

Quick, to the troll cave!!!

*Cue Batman music*

Glad to see everyone in high spirits, it ain't that serious :p lol now if it drops to 10 percent in the next couple hours then mass panic! :p

Origin stories are usually not too daring, even Batman Begins. As long as the Captain America sequel takes some risks I'm ok with The First Avenger

LOL I have to say it is kinda fun watching the RT score.

I can't post a link to it since I'm on my phone, but moviefone gave cap an 8/10

It's interesting how the Hollywood Reporter review is scored as a 70/100 over at Metacritic, but RT counts it as Rotten.

Maybe they're using the fanboy rating system, where anything less than 10/10 means the movie sucks.
