I just honestly don't see the need for Dark Avengers to continue after Siege. The reason why it works so well is because of the Dark Reign setting. Take that away and you'll end up with another New Avengers, a team that is constantly re-purposing and therefore takes away a lot of what is enjoyable.

But if you take a look, Wolverine lately has had very little presence in New Avengers lately with his X-Men duties taking far too much of his time. And Wolverine's books aren't selling as much as they should to justify three ongoing titles.

I'll have to take your word on that. I avoid NA like the plague.

It's possible that the Dark Avengers book will come to an end. Bendis supposedly chose to end Ultimate Marvel Team-Up once he'd told all the stories he wanted to. Alias was also ended by creative choice.

I doubt either of those books were ever monster sellers, though.

You make it sound like Wolverine's not there in NA? There's 8 people on the team and Bendis drags things out. he's still in the book. and I guess Wolverine's not selling like Deadpool, but he's probably out selling a lot of great series like Incredible Herc(not a fact just a guess)

He's not at all in the current arc of the ongoing and the arc dealing with Clint trying to kill Osborn (Dark Reign: the List - Avengers and New Avengers Annual #3) they specifically state that Wolverine can't be with them because he's stuck on Utopia. And you have both Steve Rogers and Jessica Jones join the roster at the end of New Avengers Annual #3.

Well Bendis said that there will be books that end because of the results of Siege and sales are not a factor, but the story is. It's blatantly obvious that there really is no story to tell with the Dark Avengers after Siege, their purpose is to be the government sanctioned Avengers while perverting what the Avengers stand for. They're not going to have that government sanction after Siege. And there really is no reason for them to stick together once Osborn falls. Daken prefers to be on his own. Ares sticks with whomever is in charge. Norman will be out of the picture. Who knows what will happen with the Sentry. And there really is no reason for Bullseye, Moonstone, and Venom to just stick together.

And Bendis is going to have a full plate as well (New Avengers, Powers, Ultimate Comics: Spider-Man, Spider-Woman, Alias/the Pulse relaunch, plus minis like Ultimate Comics: Enemy), do you really think that he'll have time for Dark Avengers? Dark Avengers will most likely drop like Mighty Avengers did without Bendis.

Those are the two reasons why I think that Dark Avengers will just end after Siege. No point, no Bendis.

In a way, I'm hoping Sentry gets a ongoing with someone to take into account his psych issues. I think JMS would have been perfect for him but since he's DC now, I don't see that happening. I don't know what is going to happen to the guy when DA stops.

Quality wise, I completely agree with you. But sales wise, not so much. I think what hurts Mighty Avengers the most is that there is not a single A-lister in the roster. Especially since Captain America, Thor, Iron Man, and Spider-Man are prefect for Mighty Avengers.

Yeah it kinda sucks that people tend to flock to A-list characters over quality stories. I guess everyone's missing out on great titles like this and Incredible Herc, The Initiative(which DR ruined IMO) Jeff Parker's Agents Of ATLAS, Secret Warriors(which I personally didn't like, but a lot of people do), Iron Fist ect... I hope Mighty Avengers gets more readers cause it's written better than both Bendengers(Bendis+Avengers) and you don't have to read 4-5 issues for something to happen.

Seems logical. Although I imagine they'd probably be renamed simply The Avengers at that point. I really wish we could get Cap, Iron Man, and Thor to join the Mighty Avengers under Slott, but that ain't happening.

I dropped mighty when it split off from New/Dark and was just Pym and his crew.

I mean, I went back and picked most of it up (Slotts run), but if it wern't for the ravings of people on this and other boards I never would have because I flat out just don't give a **** about any of those characters. Or didn't. Herc and Pym grew on me rather fast.
