Any good recommendations from the Justice Society of America storylines?

The entire run that just finished up was GREAT stuff. It started to lose some steam near the end, but wow...what a great series.

The first arc, "Black Reign," and "Princes of Darkness" were my favorites of the JSA run.

JLA/JSA: Virtue and Vice was also very good.

Plus Goyer/Johns, if you really have to.

you didnt like the degaton arc?

One request: I would love to see them tackle other DC heroes (mainstream) or even reserve or current members of the JSA that have been drowned in the "Waters of Koehaha"/"Stream of Ruthlessness".
That was the ABSOLUTE BEST storyline in INFINITY INC. 3-11.

I was wondering which Nightwing TPBs you like or dislike. I was thinking of buying a few this week.

I dislike the Year One, because it tried to make things edgier by ignoring the context from Teen Titans Judas Contract, but that may just be me.

Year One was actually the one I thought about picking up first. Seems like a good place to start.

It might be okay, if you didn't read the original stories. I hated it because it basically crapped on the precrisis story where Dick became Nightwing because he had outgrown the sidekick role, and not because Bruce was being an #$%.

I agree with Kitsune.....I hate the idea of DC (the dogs that they are) eliminated the theme that Dick Grayson had outgrown his role by creating his new identity in Titan's Tower; why they focused more on Bruce being an anal pig 'firing' Dick from his role instead of Dick willingly hand the mantle of Robin to Jason Todd is beyond me.

this is one of the reasons i think its better to keep more on the side of the Titans books (Marv Wolfman and George Perez) who are the canon universe when it comes to Nightwing; rather then read a twisted version of other writers works who focus Nightwing's creation due to Bruce being a prick.

It would be a waste of money and an insult to the Wolfman/Perez team and any fans to accept other writers versions of the true origin of Nightwing....UNLESS the new writers keep the spirit and essence of
Nightwing's origins to heart when creating their works.

But that's just one fan's opinion

i say read hush, simply because its great, night wings in it,not much though, just read hush.

I already read 'Hush' a while ago. I also liked him in 'No Man's Land'. I just wanted to read more into his solo adventures and wasn't sure where to start. I read all the Titans stuff back in the day.

Judas Contract is the best place to start...

I would say you don't need to read Hush but if you wanted some good moments with him and Bruce its fun. Other than that listen to Kitsune, he knows what he is saying.

Read all the TPB's if possible (before he joined Slade and started wearing that stuiped red renegade outfit-->DC's way of FOLLOWING IN THE FOOTSTEPS of the cartoon. {told you DC was loosing it; they are no longer the trend-setters sadly to say}

Knight in Bludhaven was really good. I think that was the first trade from his ongoing series. It's written by Chuck Dixon and drawn by Scott McDaniel. Good stuff.

Batman: Haunted Knight
Batman: Arkham Asylum
Batman: The Long Halloween
Batman: Dark Victory
Batman: The Killing Joke
Absolute Batman: Hush
Hellblazer: Original Sins
V For Vendetta
Hellboy Vol. 1
Watchmen

EDIT:
BPRD Vol 1
Dark Knight Returns
Batman: Year One
Kingdom Come

Ordering all of the above, any recommendations about what else to get?
